Hearthside Inn

We had a wonderful stay. We visited the first weekend of May 2025 and the staff was great. Our room was excellent and the breakfast was above and beyond. We also love the freshly baked sweet treats they provided in the afternoon. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

Excellent location with just a short walk to downtown area, shops and restaurants. Enjoyed a wonderful full breakfast in their lovely garden courtyard. Very attentive and friendly staff.

This was the best hotel/bed and breakfast we stayed at during our whole trip. I wasn’t even sure I liked bed and breakfasts when I booked this place but rest assured I thoroughly enjoyed it! We stayed in the first floor room which had a patio we were surprised with. It was so nice to have our coffee out on the patio before going into the dining room for our delicious breakfast! They put coffee out earlier than breakfast (we had it at 7). Martha made a great breakfast for us every day. Olivia, Catherine, and Julianna are great hosts and very kind and informative. We will be back!

The cutest little bed and breakfast. It was in the perfect location. A quick walk to all the restaurants and shops. Juliana was so sweet and friendly. The included breakfast offers two options each morning, a savory or a sweet option. Everything we had was great! The afternoon snacks and sweets were good. They always have cookies, baked goods, ice, and water sitting out. Our room was completely remodeled and absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay again!

My husband and I just had the most marvelous 4 night experience at Hearthside Inn in Bar Harbor. The breakfasts by Chef Martha were indescribably scrumptious, the attention and travel advice offered by Juliana, Catherine, Olivia and Martha, the quaintness of the 9-room inn, and the beauty of and fun of exploring Bar Harbor made our vacation earn a rating of A+. I am sad we have to leave, as I have grown so fond of the 4 individuals listed above, especially the innkeeper Juliana. Juliana is so easy to know, is unrushed, positive, cheerful and fun to chat with. I have grown to feel that she is really a friend. It will be difficult to depart and say goodbye to her and Bar Harbor in about an hour.

Such a lovely place. Room was clean and well appointed. Bed super comfy. Breakfast delicious and yummy baked goods in afternoon. Location an easy few-minute walk into town. Most of all, the service was great. Juliana and Katherine were attentive and full of great recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back!

Such a quaint and lovely place! The people were extremely attentive, the rooms were very clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and the pastry treats were too.

Little to no parking but they do offer off site parking just a block away.

This was such a cute little b&b! We had a great time in bar Harbor and I’m so glad I picked this place out. Juliana was a great host! Breakfast was great (thank you Martha!), and Catherine and Olivia were so helpful and nice. We honestly can’t wait to come back!
