Hearthside Inn

Check in was easy.Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was great!

Location, location! Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance and Acadia was just a couple minutes drive. Our room was very clean and we loved the decor! We were hesitant regarding the detached bathroom, but it was just a couple doors down and very clean/up to date. Robes were provided and we barely crossed paths with anyone in the halls. We had to leave early before breakfast started, but Martha graciously boxed us up a plate to go. The food was delish, including the pastries and sweet treats they have throughout the day. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

Every day we were delighted with homemade breakfasts and afternoon teas that included freshly baked cookies and treats created by the in-house chef!! The presentation and variety of the food was amazing. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed and pillows rivaled a 5 star hotel. This was the best b&b experience I have ever had.

We loved everything about our stay. It felt like a home away from home.

The location of the the inn was excellent! Walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor. The food, breakfast and afternoon snacks were all home made and wonderful. Unfortunately the coffee was consistently weak and watery so we popped over to get espresso at nearby A Slice of Eden. The rooms were well appointed but the mattresses are a little old or just soft and spring feeling ish. Not sure which but would appreciate firmer bed quality…. which would escalate the experience at Hearthside immensely. Overall a very good experience though I would probably opt to try another inn next time based on the mattress. Very sweet staff!

Convenient, quiet and great hosts. Ideal for a stay in Bar Harbor. Breakfasts were wonderful. Rooms are cozy but nice for a B&B.

We were looking for a place walking distance to restaurants and shops, that was also close to Acadia and we found the perfect B&B! The breakfast offerings were delicious and included either a sweet or savory option. At tea time mid afternoon cookies and other sweets were also offered. Our room was very spacious and had a private balcony, and a private bath (down the hall from the room). Parking was the only drawback, as there were limited spaces and if none were available, you would have to park at sister locations a block away.

We had a lovely stay. Convenient to town and walkable to shops and restaurants.

Loved our stay at the Hearthside. Our room was comfortable and had the unexpected added perk of a private balcony! The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was tasty every morning. The location is excellent for walking everywhere in Bar Harbor.

I had such a great experience here! It felt like staying with friends and now it feels like the staff there are our friends! Juliana, Olivia, Catherine, and Mariela were so so lovely and amiable. My room was so cute and full of charm and everything felt very clean and organized! I’m tempted to book another trip here for the fall!
