"Health hazard! Pool area is dangerous"

I am writing this review from room 502 at 1am - in pain! The hotel’s pool area is a bona fide health hazard. We chose this hotel as a one night stay on a road trip from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket (stayed one night in Satun on the way there) and back (via one night on Sichon and one night in Songkhla). After a throughly enjoyable drive from Sichon, we (13 drivers in all) decided to chill out at the pool. 3 of us had falls due the stupid and dangerous design choice of surrounding the pool with tiles that are extremely slippery when wet. Mine was the most serious - I am positive that my severe fall backwards after exiting the pool (injuring my hand, elbow, hip and neck and narrowly missing cracking my skull on the pool ledge in the process) is not the first time this has happened, nor will it be the last! The hotel’s pool area didn’t have any warning signs about the dangerous floor nor are the guests warned. I will never use this hotel again.

Quiet place, and has nice staff. Our room has a large space and my son loves the bathtub. We had complimentary snacks in the room, loved it!

It would be good if the hotel could get their halal certificates for their restaurant.
