Eterna Tulum

For it's price we had a really great stay in the 3rd floor. Super big appartment that looks really nice and has a great private "hole" as a bedroom. You will see. The private rooftop pool is a nice to have. The breakfast was good quality. Super comfy bed.

Breakfast was good but it took 30-40 min everyday from sitting down until you get some. Only 3 options available (toast with avocado and eggs, pancake with eggs or with fruits). No breakfast on mondays. The pool could be cleaner (needs a poolrobot). There is sometimes a really bad sewafe smell (i think mainly in the first floors). There was only cleaning on demand, as there were many bookings, meaning they do not spend enough money for cleaning. So the inprint: don't throw toilet paper in the toilet, don't worry we clean this area every day" was not correct, only on demand. Location is not that great, big dumpster very close by. But if you like to walk a bit, no problem. The area is gonna improve a lot over the years I think. Otherwise I think they have great service and are always trying to improve!

Lovely hotel and very walkable to downtown Tulum and the main area of La Valeta. The receptionists are super kind and helpful with any needs or food recommendations. I really enjoyed my stay here and I highly recommend!!

The girl at the lobby was extremely nice, the staff in general and there was this nice guy who let me hold a little crocodile that is in the hotel premises (and of course its safe because it cannot reach people) he was cleaning his place.

The bad thing is theres no communication to the lobby or room service but the rest of it was great

The suite we had was spacious and had a lovely terrace … Gabby and fernanda were incredibly helpful the guy that served breakfast was also really friendly

Welllll where do I start so the first delux double we had booked the sheets were dirty there wasn’t a wardrobe to hang clothes nor a safe in any of the rooms, the hotel is situated next to a recycling plant so if you sit outside in the common areas you can smell the rubbish, the pool upstairs is desolate and you could literally maybe have 3 guest sitting up there at a time this isn’t a hotel that you can socialise in . Only certain days you can have breakfast although breakfast is included in the price it is basically either an egg/ hash brown / pancake or fruit room service finishes at 7pm every night so if your hungry you have to use tomato their equivalent of Uber eats basically …… the surrounding roads are full of pot holes and not advisable to walk especially at night it’s pitch black and impossible we spent 37 dollars each way to and from the beach in taxis !!! Which I’ve gotta say were dearer than New York Mykonos and maldieves one night someone was banging on our door at 4am trying to get into the room .. the concierge / reception staff leave at 11pm and a security guard takes over and they lock the main, the staff I can’t fault what so every they were extremely helpful but the hotel is lacking a lot !!! Also when they clean the rooms they literally throw every bit of bed lining on the landing which again wasn’t great

Fancy place, probably good if you want to spend several days in Tulum. A few of the apartaments have kitchen and tables to work from there. In general clean and very nice breakfast

Unfortunately, I think our room had a sewage problem, and there was an unbearable smell in the bathroom - the typical smell of sewage/dump. It clearly also extended at the room, so this was not nice at all. Location wise it's also a bit outside of the center, if you don't have a car is not too convenient.

The staff were lovely. The rooftop pool was nice, if you hired a bike it was easy to get around.

Location surroundings were grim, building/dumping ground. Some of the fixtures like the shower were not that powerful. It appeared more luxurious in the images than in reality- I was looking for a fancy stay and for the price it was not it.

I liked the design and the cleaness of the apartment. Super friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast, I will be back!

Gorgeous big clean rooms, lovely helpful staff. They booked our tours and sorted us with a decent taxi man. Breakfast was lovely.

The location is a good walk outside of town, this is the only downfall. A good 15/20 min walk from the centre

Everything was great. It is way better than in the pictures. A real gemstone! Good location, nice staff, really nice interior with a pool on rooftop. You can rent a bicycle there or park your car, it's in quiet area, but you will find everything near.

I did not like my stay

No TV in the room, the breakfast included was very basic and there is no breakfast on Mondays. After 20 days of leaving, Eterna Tulum tried to charge me again 3 times for my room! They told me that I did not paid, and I paid upon arrival. After discussing with them for over 1 hour they realized that I did paid! This have never happened to me anywhere in the world and this for me is huge red flag. How can a property try to charge again 3 times after you paid? The accounting department of this establishment is a disaster, is very easy to check the payment confirmations with the name of the guest!
