Staff were generally helpful, the breakfast was basic but fine and the hotel is located in a very central part of Capetown, within easy striking distance of many things.

The AC in my first room was dripping water and the solution I was advised was to switch it off. When I insisted that I needed cooling, they moved me to another room, the smell in that room was so bad that I was choking on it. I eventually had to cut my stay short by two days and move to another hotel. The most annoying part is that the receptionist clearly knew about the odor in the room before moving me in there. I paid four full days, no refund. Will not be using Blackbrick every again.

The breakfast was good with lots of variety The hotel had lots of facilities, including a study and a few working desks, which was amazing as I was allowed to use whilst waiting for my room to be ready as I had meetings to take. The people were amazing, from the receptionist, the cooks during breakfast… I loved that.

The cleanliness could use some improvement. I was there for 3 nights, on some days I could see the prints from my shoes from the day before

Staff were super friendly and accomodating. Room price was fair.

Initially had a room with a pipe in the bathroom that is excessively noisy - I was then placed in a new room, but this room had an off/chemical smell. Area and hotel guests are noisy into early hours of the morning, and the rooms have no soundproofing. Room standard feels like it has gone down since I visited in 2023 - definately needs a revive.
