Éteka Slow Beach Hotel

Very relaxing

No pools

stayed here for a few nights with my friend after spending time in the old town. This was exactly the break we needed away from all the tourist traps. The service was 10/10 and the pictures dont even do justice to how beautiful it was. It was super quiet even when they had day visitors and the playlist was just the right volume to be enjoyed everywhere without disturbing.

The listing said it had a private beach. The beach is secluded but it isnt quite private as a few vendors still come and bother you. Definitely not as bad as a mainland beach and understandable as the only economy on the island is tourism, just not exactly what I expected. The vendors leave you alone with a polite "No, gracias" so not a big deal. I do wish they gave more water included in the room considering the high temperatures. The bottles in the room were very small.

Eteka’s property can easily host small and large groups. The construction is new, rooms are clean and have air conditioning, beach cabanas are comfortable, and the food is excellent (especially the seafood, coconut rice, and artisanal pizza). We enjoyed the nighttime live music. The variety of spaces allows you to meet new people by the fire or find solitude on a rooftop.

Staff could do more to minimize local vendors; while they have nice products and services, their repetitive nature becomes a presence. Also, there is a need for a better, cheaper, more sustainable solution for potable drinking water than bottles.

Peace, food… service.

Limited transportation to Cartagena. If is your first time, stay 2 days in here, right after the city.

We had an amazing stay at Eteka beach. It literally felt like paradise, perfect place to stay 1-2 nights and enjoy some peace out of the city. The staff is really friendly and always here to help you. The facilities are amazing, with so many places where you can chill. The food is very very good. The beach is beautiful with a very clean sand.

It is very hard to find a negative aspect to this hotel. I Wouk say that the only thing “missing” is a swimming pool, but it is not a big deal.

Eteka was such a good hotel, the rooms are amazing so beautiful, the staff is to attentive and they give so many recommendations, absolutely loved this place. If you are looking for a nice relaxing hotel in one of the islands near Cartagena this is the place to be
