HI Vila do Conde - Pousada de Juventude

We stayed in a private room on the first leg of our Camino and this was perfect. Lovely outside area and spacious kitchen. 3 spacious common areas with sofas to relax with a book or chat to other pilgrims. Historical building

Bedbugs!!!!!!

Huge, beautiful historic building with lots of big common spaces with big windows and lots of natural light. Even a little library room. Kitchen big and well-equipped. The place is simple and no frills but was clean and served its purpose. Very close to the beach and next to an excellent wine bar/cafe. 10 minute walk to Lidl and other supermarkets. I'd definitely stay there again, it was one of the more original hostels on the Camino.

Only note is the bunks don't have curtains so not much privacy, and there was no air conditioning / fans in the room I was in so we left the outside door open to catch night breezes but then people complained there were mosquitos so we closed it, but then it got hot again, etc.

Great facility!

The building is beautiful, they serve great breakfast, the hosts are very welcoming, great location, very clean, free tea and coffee all day.

Kuchnia z możliwością przygotowania posiłku. Jadalnia i dwa salony. Pyszne śniadanie. Miałyśmy być rozdzielone, ale udało się spać w jednym pomieszczeniu razem, dzięki miłej obsłudze.
