Great location for visiting nearby Leeds. House was comfortable and warm. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Had everything we needed. There is a local shop a few minutes walk which was reasonably priced with pleasant and helpful staff.

Beds were very small and very hard. Road outside was very busy and traffic noise went on all through the night. The freezer wasn’t working and the only thing missing was a bottle opener.

Location was good with a shop and a pub close by. Parking was off road and spacious.

On arrival the garden showed signs of neglect. The house which had at one point been renovated was in need of repair and was dirty. There was lots of rubbish in the entrance and the kitchen was dirty. The lounge had a dirty carpet and the soft furnishings had stains. The bedding had brown stains and the towels were threadbare to the point where we had to go and buy new bedding and towels. The shower was unclean with mould growing and had leaked through the ceiling below which had not been repaired properly. The standard of furniture was poor. This was the worst accommodation that we have ever stayed in. Owner was messaged on arrival but he never got in touch over the 48 hours we were there.

Where do I begin?! I have emailed the hosts and booking.com with my complaints. There is too much to list here! In a nutshell, the property is grubby and tired looking as well as unclean. We saw RATS in the garden as there was so much rubbish bags around. One shower didn't work, freezer didn't work, garden massively overgrown and unkept and generally in need of a good clean and lick of paint. Many of the spotlights in kitchen didn't work, stain on lounge carpet, grubby sofas to name a few! Stay clear!!

I have taken a few days to write about this disgraceful property.  You will see by the photos what we were greeted with. Dirty rubbish strewn around the small back garden, which rendered it unusable and a health hazard.  When we rang the elusive Tom's phone number, we got through to a management company. They said they would get on to it immediately.  After numerous phone calls and emails, nothing was done.  After the second day, they didn't answer my calls or emails.  The rubbish included dirty nappies, and the black bin was overflowing with rubbish.  When we opened the key safe, there was a single key for the back door. There was no key for the front door, which rendered it a fire safety hazard.  When we got into the "luxury" property, the carpets were filthy, and the sofa was just disgusting.  There was a burn on the carpet in the front room.  The place was sticky from the stair bannister to all the cutlery and delph and had to be washed before we could use them.  The shower in the main bathroom had a note saying it wasn't working. When I spoke to the management about it, they said it is working to disregard the notice.  The ensuite shower was covered in black mould.  My last correspondence from the elusive Tom was unsolicited information on suicide.  I can't express how upsetting this entire experience was.  

Perfect location,lovely clean spacious house. Host very friendly and accommodating.
