AutoCamp Catskills

I spent a few days at AutoCamp Catskills and honestly, it was a great time. I stayed in an Airstream and it was way roomier and more comfortable than I expected—the interiors felt like a boutique hotel on wheels. The campgrounds were well-kept and super chill, with lots of spots to just hang out and unwind. The clubhouse was awesome with its 24/7 market, cozy lounge, and a cafe/bar that served up tasty options. The complimentary granola in the morning was hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the evening happy hour included some excellent cocktails. I made the most of the hiking trail that loops around the camp and also took a quick trip to the nearby Kaaterskills Falls, which was definitely worth the visit. If you’re looking for a great mix of comfort and the outdoors, I’d definitely recommend starting at AutoCamp Catskills. Already thinking about when I can make time to go back or maybe visit one of their sister properties.

everything is perfect except the loud air condition

Lovely property and incredible surrounding. @10 minutes drive to some great restaurants in Woodstock is a big plus!

Love Autocamp, or at least the promise of what it can be. After my first visit a couple of years ago, found it to be super fun, different, and engaging. That was a work outing, and, by the way, highly recommend this place for team retreats for work. However, this time I took my wife and we did not have a great experience. Got assigned to Airstream #131 which, as luck would have it, is located next to a septic tank that smelled terribly. We could not sit outside by the fireplace or cook at our unit because of the smell. Additionally, we waited forever for our unit to be ready—they must be shorthanded—and the camper was NOT clean. Hairs in the shower and on the bed when we checked in. Did they even change the bedspread? Not sure. Must have been in a hurry. Still, Autocamp has a lot of promise—I think we just had an isolated bad experience. With that said, stay away from camper #131 and any adjacent to it. Likely other campers are fine. And, of course, they also have tents and small cabins as well. Hey Autocamp folks, why not add a pool, a dog park, a pickleball court, etc. More activities needed if you are going to charge an amenities fee. By the way, your sign board in the lobby says you have pickleball, but no court, so do you really have pickleball option? I think you mean “paddleball” instead.

The experience is different and cool but the pricing is super aggressive for what you get. It’s very nice camping sold as a five star hotel.

I would love to go back again

Allowed multiple families - seemingly traveling together - to take over the camp. Put up kids tents outside of the Airstreams, Leave food outside overnight, among other things. We like AUtocamp for the peace and quite... not this time :/ It's a shame that the staff would allow clear violations of their own rules

I enjoyed the common space/lodge. It poured during our stay, so it was good to have a dry space to gather with the friends that we went with. I disliked that there were limited activities for children. A larger playground, pool or splash pad would be nice additions.
