AutoCamp Catskills

I wanted to love it, but AutoCamp Catskills did not live up to my hopes and expectations. Positives: Friendly staff. Morning coffee, tea, and granola. When our room was not ready they kindly offered us a drink. When I pointed out the things that were dirty or needed to repair in or around my airstream someone came to attend to them quickly. Negatives: Our room was not ready at 4 PM - check in time. Waited until 5 PM to check in. The staircase to the airstream was not level and wobbly. There was dog poop left in our outdoor table/fire pit area. The furniture in the outdoor area was dirty. The general grounds were not as clean as, in my opinion, they should have been. Multiple pieces of furniture (seats, tables) and the floors in the main lobby area were dirty and stained. Bathrooms in the reception area needed cleaning. In the couple days I was there I never saw anyone cleaning the common spaces. Overall, I think this is an interesting concept. I do think the Auto Camp needs some polishing. It is an expensive stay and at least right now I don’t think that the quality justifies the price.

Liked having coffee and granola. Happy hour was a great touch and helped with pricing. Air Stream was nicely designed and very comfortable.

The extras seemed very high, i.e. s'more kits, wood, the merch. Consider adding yogurt to breakfast. Didn't like the generic feel of the park. Wish there had been a swimming pool or creek to swim in. Would have like to have access to more adult-focused activities. Need a wider selection of food. Could have supplied a list of grocery stores near by.

Fun stay at this well designed property- enjoyed the spacious clubhouse for a leisurely breakfast, a comfortable stay in our well equipped airstream. It was quieter than expected despite many other lodgers. Great spot for exploring Saugerties and Woodstock.

I stayed at Autocamp Catskills when it first opened and it was clean, new and had a great staff. In a short time the property has declined significantly and the staff was young and not attentive to customers. Wood bundles are way overpriced and the grounds are not appealing. For example several of the courtesy wagons for moving your luggage have worn out tires that need replaced. Attention to detail is lacking. Our friends Airstream had a missing latch on the bathroom, just a hole in the door. Sad. Thus place could be great.

Algae covered pond, park benches falling apart upon entrance. Common area upholstered furniture, dirty, ripped and time for replacement. Transport wagons flat tires, bent up, and some not operational. Camp site had dirty solo stove for cooking, picnic table melted and planks buckled. Camper needs new cushions to replace stained ones and a good power wash. Cool idea but no attention to details that make a place feel they care A good shower stall scrub would help.

Very comfortable bed, beautiful, nice sized shower, well thought out in design, our airstream was very private as advertised.

The AC was loud, although, to be fair, I did not check out the youtube tutorial to make any adjustments to the unit.
