Clean, tidy, lovely bed, great staff.

The glass ‘wall’ of the bathroom was quite disconcerting. Frankly, the toilet might as well have been in the room with us, once the bathroom light went on. In 30 years of marriage I have never had the pleasure of seeing my husband sat on the loo, nor do I ever wish to again. The room was 26 degrees when we arrived and the aircon didn’t work. Tried using the room phone but it was completely dead, so phoned the hotel on my mobile. Eventually got through and was told someone would come up whilst we were at dinner to fix it. No-one did, so when we arrived back at midnight it was too late to complain so we slept in a baking, airless room (the windows don’t open). Awful night’s sleep. In the morning I put the kettle on, abandoned it because there was no milk. Went to have a shower and the shower head fell off the hose whilst the water was on full blast. I fought valiantly and thrashed about a bit with the headless snake, soaking the floor and towels and after turning off the water I gave up. The head was not one you could just screw back on. There was a lovely lady called Jessica at reception who was very apologetic and dealt with our comments about the stay in a professional and kind way.

Why have a glass connection between bedroom and bathroom? I want to make a complaint about this, £181 is a joke for such an impractical room.

Breakfast was fantastic, room was spot on and staff were friendly

Whoever decided that glass walls for bathrooms in hotels was an acceptable idea has a lot to answer for. Please make them stop. Also, for the price you would think you would be able to cool the room to a reasonable temperature.
