Hotel was spotless and the restaurant was excellent

The breakfast was ok but not great Too many tables were not cleared efficiently so we eneded up having to sit miles away The croissants and pastries was sub optimal - I would expect proper croissants not little ones that tasted like bricks

The bathroom was terrible. Not enough towels. The main towel was way too small - my husband could barely get it around his waist. The frosted bathroom wall is a TERRIBLE idea - it gives absolutely NO privacy, and I felt incredibly awkward going to the loo knowing that my outline was completely visible to my husband as well as my children. You can't go to the loo in the night with the light on as it wakes up the other person. The pressure in the shower was awful and there was no shower door so water went everywhere. The bath matt was tiny . There was no hand towel.

Booked it last minute as made a mistake with an earlier booking. I really wanted a hotel in middle of Exeter so I would not have to use car during stay. However I was really pleased with hotel. Extremely clean. Staff were great. Breakfast excellent so all in all a lovely hotel for a modern feel. I did pay more than I wanted to but had no other choice. And a twin room would’ve made it perfect.

Very modern hotel with a spacious room. Lovely restaurant area for breakfast. Appreciated free use of hotel gym. Huge car park.

Room was not available at stated check in time and had to wait 30 minutes. Staff were very apologetic but frustrating nevertheless. The hotel was very busy which meant breakfast was a bit chaotic. Shower in room was a little disappointing.

Nice clean rooms and facilities, housekeeping excellent. More variety at breakfast would be good however what was there was fine.Location of the hotel is great as a base to explore Devon.

This is a clean, convenient and functional place to stay if you just want a bed for the night. It's modern and conveniently placed by the M5 exit to Exeter. I chose it because it was cheap and has charging points for electric vehicles.

Only 5 of the 6 charging points work and they are slow, overnight 7V chargers. That didn't work for me, so I took the car to the motorway services 5 mins away to use the fast chargers there. A convenient solution but if upgrading the chargers, a couple of faster ones might be useful for customers.

Nice looking hotel, quiet, clean, great bar, great restaurant... all really really high quality.

We stayed here as a family with my three daughters during the recent heatwave. To be completely honest, our arrival didn’t go quite to plan. There were a few issues with the room, including the sofa bed not being prepared and the air conditioning not working, which wasn’t ideal after a long journey with three tired children. However, what really stood out was how the team responded. Holly, the Food & Beverage Manager, went well above and beyond what I would have expected. Despite it not really being her responsibility, she got involved personally, helped resolve the issues in our room and made sure we were looked after properly. The following morning she also took the time to check in on us at breakfast, which I genuinely appreciated. The General Manager, Henning, also handled my feedback professionally and fairly afterwards, which says a lot about the culture of the hotel. The hotel itself is modern, well located and has loads of potential. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what matters is how they’re dealt with, and in this case the team worked hard to put things right. For that reason I’m happy to give five stars and would happily stay again.
