"Good hotel in quiet, pleasant location."

10.0

Just had a week at this hotel which was booked with jet 2. The week cost just over 2 grand for 3 of us all inclusive so felt like a bargain. The hotel is located in skala errosou which is about 2 hours away from the airport. However the drive was pleasant and the roads good. The hotel is set in a rural setting just off the beach about 1km from skala erossou. It is not plush but it is not unpleasant and is very clean. Staff are pleasant and helpfull. There are nice gardens and a large oblong pool which is 22m long and has lanes so you can have a good swim. We had a room for 3 which was clean and well appointed. AC was good. Food is a breakfast buffet which has a decent choice. The food was ok. Lunch is served at a beach bar. There was plenty of choice, it was good quality, prepared to order and the portions big. Food on an evening was buffet only. Again there was plenty of choice and the food was fresh and tasty. There are 2 bars one being on the beach. The all inclusive drinks were ok. Local beer but unbranded spirits. You could not get a zero beer or branded drinks such as aperol spritz on all inclusive. They were however available to but quite expensive. There is a spa which i did not use but looked reasonably priced. There is a small gym with very limited equipment some of which was old and broken. There are watersports and bike hire at extra cost. These were included for mark warner cutomers but not jet 2. Bike hire was dear at 35 euro for half a day. There were cheaper options in skala erossou at 35 euro a week.. The beach is very nice and quiet. It is sand as opposed to pebble. The nearest village is 1km away on an easy flat but cobbled road. Felt safe at night. Village had lots of nice seafront restaurants and bars. Local food was cheap. Village very popular with LGBT+ women. Atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet. There are no irish bars or similar.... Scenery is quite stunning with plenty of marked out walking tracks. If you want a quiet holiday in a nice seafront location this place is hard to beat for the money..

"Lovely staff"

9.0

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, really lovely people. The breakfast was delicious, however not many options if you are vegan or vegetarian. The resort's beach side is really nice and quiet, I really enjoyed spending my mornings there reading after breakfast.

Initially I got a room in one of the houses on the hill, which was very spacious and had a beautiful view to the sea and for the first few days it was perfect. And then other guests arrived in the room above and in the one next to me - which was connected to my room through a locked door. The stomping upstairs woke me up early in the morning and the people next door... I could hear them showering like they were in my own room and that wasn’t really nice. However, the staff was really understanding and helpful, they were able to relocate me in one of the smaller rooms in the main building and I was very grateful for that since it made the remaining of my holiday much more quite.
