Beautiful property with great views and the amazing TAJ hospitality. They called us three times to check what time we would be landing at the airport, to help us with route guidance and just to check if everything was ok. Right from the time you check in till the time you check out, they take care of your every requirement with a smile. The rooms are spacious and elegantly done and the balcony is perfect to enjoy your morning coffee while listening to birdsong. It was our anniversary the day we checked in and they had decorated the room with balloons and kept a delicious cake for us as well. Food here is absolutely DELICIOUS and everything is served with a warm smile. Special shoutout to Dipesh at Mynt who is so friendly and charming, and who was always helpful with recommendations, whether it was food or places to visit. It felt like he truly believes that “Atithi devo bhavah” and makes all guests feel so special and cared for. Mingma is another lady who deserves special mention.

Reaching this property is a literal pain in the a** because of the terrible, terrible roads (Sikkim faced landslides and flooding during the monsoons which has destroyed large parts of the roads). There are certain stretches where the car can’t go beyond 5-7kmph and this nearly doubles all your travel time. Not the property’s fault of course, but it leaves you exhausted so you can’t really enjoy the sunset views from the lawns or splash in the pool. There is nothing around the property so anywhere you want to go, you have to undergo a back-breaking , arduous car journey over horrendous roads. Hope the Sikkim government gets the roads in good condition soon. Also, the swimming pool is temperature controlled but is also an outdoor pool which kind of defeats the purpose of controlling the temperature, especially in winter since the water remains pretty cold. It would be nice if the hotel had a games room with table tennis, snooker etc for older kids. They do have carrom, board games and books in the reception but a proper games room would be nice to have.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the service from our check in, throughout our stay till our departure was excellent. The food and service at the restaurant was great as well! Some of the best Indian food we had on our trip. There was a performance by a local singer that night we stayed and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hotel a bit on pricier side but well worth it in my opinion. Not very close to Gangtok/other shops but we chose it for the privacy and quiet so this did not bother us.

Great team,Great Feel and food experience! Thank you to the wonderful staff during my last stay. On arrival we were greeted by Mr.Kishan and Ms Pema who were welcoming with so happy faces that we forgot all our tiredness in just a Sec. Ms Durga, Ms.Pema ,Mr.Sangay ,Mr.Prantha,Ms.Veronica I had a fabulous Experience at property beacuse of So much hardworking and Sweet staff. The Café team from Ms.Anmol ,Mr Suren, Dipesh and the sweetest one Ms.Mingma were everwhere! Mr Dipesh and Ms.mingma are amazing at explaining the different dishes and allowing me to try new food experiences. Everyone was on key! I topped up my stay with with a lovely take away from the Antique Shop where I was greeted by young lady friendly approach. Many thanks to everyone at the Vivanta Pakyong including the florists who make the whole space look beautiful.
