"Wonderful holiday and a genuinely warm pool in October!"

10.0

This is a fab hotel and we'll definitely return, at some point, if we can afford it. We’ve stayed at several posh hotels in Turkey (Voyage Belek, Maxx Royal Belek, Regnum, Maxx Royal Kemer, Lujo Bodrum, NG Phaselis Bay), so I’m comparing to those in this review. We stayed in a swim-up duplex with our two kids (aged 10 and 13), which was an excellent decision. Note, these rooms are not all identical – some have *much* larger terrace areas and get more sun. In October, the ones above the buffet, facing the adult pool were best for sun and had more space. We asked to move to one of those, which the hotel kindly organised mid-way through our trip. The two highlights for us were the swim-up, semi-private heated pool and walking around the grounds and along the river path. When we booked, we were rather skeptical about the claims of a heated pool but it was genuinely warm, even hot at times (too warm for laps but perfect for playing with the kids – which is what we wanted). Because I’m a massive nerd, I took a pool thermometer and found the temperature ranged from 29 to 36 degrees! Best bits: • Properly heated swim-up pool (29-36 degrees) • Gorgeous grounds with riverside path and lots of kingfishers and other birds to spot • Best cocktails we’ve had in Turkey (very good local wines too). • Best pizzas we’ve had anywhere! • Heated waterpark (and slides have run-offs rather than pools to drop into, so it would be good for weaker/non swimmers). • Hotel proves paper menus not just QR codes like most seem to nowadays • Excellent sofa beds that were comfortable enough for an adult-sized teenager to sleep on. • The standard of the food was very good, especially at the snack restaurants and 24 hour restaurant. • Fresh berries including raspberries, blueberries and strawberries in the buffet - not seen that before Finally, the included CIP service at the airport is brilliant - and the lounge is vastly improved since the refurbishment. Areas for improvement: • Expensive and disappointing a la carte experience at the beef restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was no better that the ‘free’ options, the seating was uncomfortable, and the manager pressured us to give a positive review, which I found very presumptuous. • Hard to get vegetables with your meals (except for the buffet), except for basic salads • Poor and patchy WIFI meant we ended up with a large roaming phone bill when we got home • Whatsapp assistants were quite ineffectual compared to the standards elsewhere – they were reactive not proactive and needed a lot of chasing. Some issues were simply never resolved. • The A/C in the room seemed quite weak, even in October, so I wonder how it copes in summer (maybe they turn it up??). • Not the hotel’s fault, of course, but we saw some quite anti-social behaviour among guests – e.g., an adult stealing a raft from my son at the waterpark, vaping indoors at the 24-hour restaurant, people throwing hairballs off their balcony into the pool. I haven’t seen behaviour quite like this at other places. This is probably our top pick for an out of season stay, when the weather is cooler, mostly because of the warm pools - it makes such a big difference to our enjoyment. Finally, special thanks to Haydar and Erdogan at the 24 hour restaurant who were incredibly patient and kind to us!

"1 week family holiday at the Cullinan"

10.0

We stayed for a 1 week family stay at the Cullinan for Xmas. The WhatsApp group set up by Sena and Ibrahim was excellent and made sure any requests we had were quickly sorted. The Xmas Gala dinner was amazing with good food and entertainment. The heated pools/kids club were both excellent along with our family room and all the amenities. It's our second stay at the Cullinan and we will be back again. Thanks for making our family vaccination unforgettable.

"The best hotel in Turkey."

10.0

A beautiful hotel filled with luxury. I don't like to write much. I've stayed in many of the best hotels in Turkey, but this one ranks first. The staff and service are wonderful. The people are smiling, happy, and approachable. I felt special here.

"Excellent"

10.0

I am satisfied with everything. Excellent accommodation, service, staff. I have been to Turkey more than 40 times, but I consider this hotel to be one of the best I have visited. Before my stay I sent an email with my requirements regarding the room, everything was met 100%. So I can definitely recommend it to everyone.

"5 star Golf Resort - 5 star rating - but no neflix!"

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at the Cullinan Hotel in Belek, and overall it truly lived up to its five-star reputation. The service was impeccable from start to finish. We stayed in a lagoon swim-up room, which was beautifully designed and felt luxurious and private. The lagoon pool itself was very cold in December, but I actually embraced it as part of my morning routine to awaken my body, which became a surprisingly refreshing ritual. The hotel is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, breathtaking, and immaculately maintained. Every space feels thoughtfully curated and premium. The personal concierge service was excellent and genuinely elevated our stay, making everything feel seamless and well looked after. The culinary experience was very good, with high-quality food and presentation. However, we stayed in December, when many of the restaurants were closed, so we couldn’t experience the full breadth of what the hotel offers. The main restaurant could also benefit from more diversity in its offerings, particularly during quieter seasons. The golf courses were excellent and suitably designed for all standards, making them enjoyable whether you’re a seasoned golfer or more casual. We enjoyed two rounds of golf during our stay. A great added benefit of staying at Cullinan is the free buggy service on the golf course, along with food and drinks included as part of the all-inclusive offering, which really enhances the overall experience. That said, I do feel hotel guests should receive a larger discount on green fees, given the premium nature of the resort. The gym and indoor pool were superb — easily one of the highlights of the stay. The indoor pool connects to a heated outdoor section, which was fantastic. The water was very warm and comfortable, making it usable any day regardless of the weather. The entertainment centre was pretty good, but I would suggest adding more indoor games. When it was busy, it was difficult to actually get a chance to play anything, especially for families with children. One significant issue for us was the inability to stream phones or iPads to the TV to watch Netflix or Prime, particularly as it rained during our stay. This really needs to be addressed. A five-star hotel should absolutely have seamless streaming capabilities, especially for families travelling with children. Overall, the Cullinan is a beautiful, high-end resort with exceptional service, outstanding wellness facilities, excellent golf, and a luxurious atmosphere. With a few improvements — particularly around in-room technology, restaurant availability in the off-season, and guest golf discounts — it would be close to flawless. We would happily return.
