The Rising Sun

A good location with a comfortable and well appointed room, polite staff and good food.

The only thing that is worth a note is that, having booked a sea view room (lovely view), it fronted on to the pub terrace fairly loud conversation continued until well after 11pm.

We loved the location and the accommodations. We enjoyed eating in the lovely conservatory at the front for both dinner and breakfast. The local catch cooked whole was beyond expectations.

There was nothing we didn't like about the Rising Sun. We will be recommending to many of our friends.

Tastefully decorated, beautiful attention to detail in the bedrooms, every comfort and convenience thought of. Food absolutely fabulous, great location, having stayed at more expensive places in St Mawes previously- this easily comes up to high standards and great value for money. It will be our go to place from now on in St Mawes!

Such beautifully decorated rooms , amazing location & staff were lovely. Breakfast was amazing and bed was so comfy.

Location, nice staff.

Windows didn’t close properly, so drafty and noisy room. Toilet flush wasn’t working properly. Buffet breakfast was limited.
