Lovely location, excellent food, and comfortable rooms. The staff were exceptional- helpful, polite, cheerful and very friendly. We can’t wait to visit again!

We have stayed here many times before and it is a lovely building in a beautiful part of the world . We like the bed rooms and the lounge in front of a cosy fire . We knew the food was not so good since the brilliant chef left , but it ok . The cleaning staff are lovely .

This stay was ok . The manager is brilliant but not always there . The service was inconsistent this time . The breakfast is lovely but was different each day for the same thing . The first day 2 sausages and 2 rashers of bacon , then the next when we asked for extra bacon instead of sausages got 2 again and the third morning only one sausage ( very small) and only one rasher of bacon !! Odd .quite a fierce lady in charge so didn’t dare question it . Also one night we came in just before 10 and the lounge was locked up . When we asked to go in we were told it was always locked at nights in the winter . However we usually go in the winter as this has not been the case before . Check out was a bit complicated too !

Lovely room and furnishings. Lovely shower! Bed comfortable and decor overall very nice! With great tea and coffee making facilities and lovely complimentary toiletries! Staff all very friendly and service at both dinner and breakfast was great. The overall vibe at the inn was lovely with great bar and restaurant area and cosy stylish interiors. Lots of great drink and food options. Amazing location and great views.

The menu was great but I would say the standard of food for the price was just ok, the servers were fantastic but the food was quite slow and could have been hotter (particularly at breakfast) also sat at the bar later in the evening the male bar tender didn't seem very aware of people waiting while the two girls working were running around non stop looking after tables-and one of them ended up serving us at the bar when they noticed we were waiting. Our room was quite chilly (only single glazing) and the radiator whilst working was dripping and caused a large wet patch on the carpet. However that being said there were extra blankets and an electric heater which compensated for this.

We were staying in room number 1 and it was very spacious and had a very comfy bed too. Lovely pub/ restaurant and the breakfast was delicious. Lovely friendly service all round.
