The Stirling Arms

Everything, from its position, the staff were so friendly & welcoming, the roast dinners were the best we’ve eaten in a very long time. The room was what you dream of.

Quiet location, comfy bed, good shower, tea/coffee etc provided, separate access than the pub area so can come and go at any time

Not possible to park on the road as it's for permit holders, but decent car park on Norton Road (paid £11 for 24hrs)

Great location. Central to Hove. Room is lovely, quiet, comfortable and well decorated. The pub/restaurant downstairs was also very nice. Easy check in and check out experience.

The music was loud till 12a.m. so I was unable to sleep until that time but it is expected since it is Pub & rooms. So if you want to go to bed early - probably choose something else or take ear-plugs with you:)

We got a really warm welcome, and the room was quirky and comfortable. All the staff were really friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bathroom was beautifully done out, with a large walk-in shower with a rainfall showerhead and one of those separate little heads. Fantastic heat and water pressure, too. A big bonus is the fact that although we were directly above the bar, and quite close to the kitchen (I think), the room was effectively soundproof, and we didn’t hear a thing from downstairs once we were inside. Also very generous in-room provisions: kettle, tea coffee, hot chocolate, plus bottles of water - and a water filter which really impressed me for some reason!!

Parking was a bit of an issue for us, but only because I can’t really walk very far - there are a couple of local car parks with 24hr access, so someone with regular mobility wouldn’t find this a problem. Parking’s always going to be an issue around Brighton and Hove, so I certainly wouldn’t hold this against the Stirling Arms!
