Luxury Georgian City Retreat by Sovo Apartments

The home felt luxurious right from the entrance. The ceilings were high, the apartment was furnished very well, and nicely designed. We felt safe in the area. The apartment was stocked with cereal, snacks, coffee, teas, jams, milk, and other goodies. Each guest were given slippers, robes, and personal toiletries. It was only a 45 minute walk to downtown Edinburgh. You could al take the nearby tram into the city as well. There was plenty of restaurants, stores, and cafes around the apartment too. We enjoyed the fast wifi, the rain showers, and the outdoor space (even though we did not get to use it). We would definitely rent here again.

The room with the twin beds had no closet. The twin bed were also a little a little narrow for an adult. Minor thing, but 3 glass window panes on the doorway to the kitchen were cracked. The main bedroom's window faced the sidewalk outside a convenience store. People would gather here and noise and cigarette smoke from the street would sometimes creep into the room.

All extra touches, very well equipped we didn't want for anything.

Nothing at all

The accommodation was very luxurious and spacious. It was a nice surprise when we entered. The kitchen was well supplied with lovely additions e.g. breakfast cereal, biscuits, chocolate etc. Great appliances. The bathrooms had lovely toiletries. Beautiful and modern furnishings. Great facilities at the apartment.

The place was not ready when we checked in. However they left us a bottle of prosecco. Parking was not directly outside but across the street in a different lane. In the rain, it was a little tricky to stop outside the apartment to unload and load.

Everything was in pristine condition, had every amenity you could need. Great location, amazing hot tub & patio area.

Lovely location and the bus to the city centre was just around the corner. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lots of lovely extras for breakfast etc.

Really Nice apartment, Very Luxury inside and absolutely immaculate! The little snack bowl left in the kitchen was a very nice touch.

The noise from the street at a night time when in the master bedroom, Not sure if the window needs re fitting? And the didn’t appear to be any gas left for the patio table fire

It was renovated to an extremely high standard, super clean, and it was in a fabulous location. We didn’t need to bring anything other than ourselves!

The Bluetooth keys / electronic code box was temperamental and didn’t work most of the time which meant we couldn’t access the property easily. However, the host was extremely apologetic and very responsive whenever there was an issue, and he resolved the matter by giving us a key to access the apartment.

Everything about the property was spotless. The decor was stunning and the owners had thought of everything. The snack bowl, cereal available and coffee machine were a lovely touch. One of our party left his wallet upon checkout and the owners phoned with in 20 mins of us leaving and were extremely accommodating to get it back to us. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, cannot recommend the apartment enough!

Absolutely nothing, we cannot wait to return!
