USUnique property with lots of character and history. Bed was very comfortable and our room was right next to the creek outside the door very pleasant to just sit back and relax on the adjacent patio. Priya was very friendly and helpful and attentive to our needs. We were with family in town for a wedding and occupied several of the rooms and were able to gather comfortably in the common areas and eat together in the morning for breakfast. Property was within easy walking distance to many restaurants in the downtown. All in all a great experience and would go back .

Our only thing is that we do not like firm beds so this one was a little hard for us. But still no a deal breaker.
This is a charming historic building built on the edge of lush Gold Run Creek with rooms right down above the water. Mornings, sitting outside with a cup of coffee is awesome! Even a reconstructed non-functional flume runs across the property on the ancient concrete supports. And it’s a quick walk across the bridge to downtown Nevada CIty - a super great location. My rating of “okay” was based mainly on the fact that we are seniors and this isn’t a property for people who have problem with stairs or steps because you can’t go anywhere on this property without going up or down them. This is not a property for anyone who is truly mobility impaired. Even in our room, you had to step down a large step from the entry to the bed area, but have to step up a half step to get into the bathroom. We repeatedly tripped. It’s just what it is. My wife said that she would have really enjoyed this place back when I was younger because it is so interesting, but a 73, it’s a burden climbing the stores all the time. Something else, our room on the lower level is directly below the deck off of the dining and lounge area. Whenever a patio chair is moved, it reverberates loudly to our room below - at midnight. You don’t expect sound proofing in a 150 year old building, but made sleeping a challenge. Sorry, but we won’t be back, but it might be the idea place for you.
Rooms are very small. Bed was a little uncomfortable, but cute place.
