Central Belfast Apartments Utility Street

Modern apartment, all equipment new, v comfy bed. Generally very quiet neighbours, except for a party one night. Train noise was no bother as the bedroom is at the back. Location was the main reason we chose this apartment: we are reasonably fit and walked in to the city centre in about 15 mins every day. There are lots of good places to eat nearby, especially if you walk towards Queens Uni. We recommend Holohan's Pantry and Aleksandr's bakery.

TV remote and oven not working! Apartment hosts do not have spare key fob to access building for maintenance etc. We received a part refund due to these problems. Radiator TRVs have to be turned in counter-intuitive direction to make heating come on. Could do with some hooks for coats etc. Could do with a lamp behind the sofa for reading. Also, you might want to be aware that you need to climb up 48 steps to reach the apartment! Outside, there was some street drinking, connected to men's hostel next door. No disturbances, but I would not have been happy to leave the building on my own. The apartment is near Sandy Row, a staunchly Loyalist area, which might be a problem for some. Bin store is a stinking mess!

The building is design for comfort

The premises are located in rough area with high anti social activities. In 5 days we had 2 anti social incidents even though we were never out after 8 pm. The gravities and the abandon buildings on Donegal Street were a sore to the eyes. Also the its too expensive for its location.
