Das Dorf Hotel

the hotel is beautiful, comfortable and surrounded by beautiful landscapes and nature. However what stands out and was the great differential is the service and care of the employee Francisca. always very kind and concerned about the small details.

The property is quite new, the room and bathroom was impecably clean. It is sufficiently removed from the main road for it to be nice and quiet to sleep at night. The view from the room is beautiful. The room is spacious and has central heating and a small refrigerator for your convenience. We were there off season so the pool ( cold) was closed for the season.They also have 3 hot tubs which you can use ( and pay additional CLP30.000) but you need to give them at least 3 hours advance notice as it takes that amount of time to heat them up. So you need to plan ahead if and when you are going to use one ( 2 hours rental) We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast was brought to our room and included toast, butter, jam , ham, natural juice, yogurt and granola and avocado, plus fruit ( banana) and coffee or tea and milk. We also enjoyed watching netflix on the TV. ( they also have other platforms available too)

What I didn´t like of our room was the lack of bedside lamps, which is rather strange in a hotel of this category. The room had lights in the ceiling which gave a sad ambience to an otherwise nice room. It also made it very unpleasant to do some reading in bed. In the bathroom there were several articles missing such as shower cap, body lotion, kleenex and face towel all of which are easy to correct for a better service. The attitude of the staff could also improve, they seemed rather uptight and not too service oriented. Also this hotel lacks of a place to lounge other than your own room. There is the reception lobby and a small restaurant and nothing else. We were put in a second floor ( no elevator) but they were kind to take our luggage upstairs which was very nice.

Breakfast was very good. The rooms did not have AC. They have portables units that don’t work and resting was very bad. First and second floors get all the noice from guess above I have to move twice. The cost per night is not to the standard. Lots of wood steps losing nuts.

It's a bit on the pricey side, as it's on a touristic destination, but we were the only guests in the whole hotel ! you need a car to go to town, which is 5-10 min away.
