Convenient, comfortable and friendly staff

check in was easy, rooms are large and well equipped, aircinditioning well done, cleaness and space of the bathroom are great. some restaurants within hotel are welcome, good food, personel a little bit slow but overhaul good service. will come back. pay attention when booking, there is a new wing and previous one is being renovated.

My husband and I stayed at the Skylight In-Terminal Hotel in Addis Ababa with our 6-week-old infant due to a missed connection caused by a late-arriving flight. While the beds were comfortable and the room was clean, the service was appalling from start to finish. When we arrived, there was no staff in sight. We waited for **20 minutes** before a janitor had to go and find the front desk attendant. Upon check-in, the room was not properly prepared for two guests—only **one towel**, barely any toilet paper, and **no hairdryer**. We repeatedly called the front desk to request these missing essentials. Either no one answered, or we were told they would be brought to us “ASAP.” Each time, we waited **over 30 minutes with no response**, forcing us to chase down the staff ourselves. The most shocking moment came when we escalated our complaint. We were told that because the housekeeper was pregnant, we "should not expect good service." This is an absolutely **disgusting excuse**—as if pregnancy is a reason for poor service in a supposedly 5-star hotel! General Manager **Mr. Daniel Ludwig** should be ashamed of his team’s lack of training and professionalism. The staff clearly have **no understanding of hospitality, no sense of urgency, and no motivation to fulfil even basic guest requests**. Instead, issues are ignored until guests **get frustrated enough to chase them down**. This is **not** a 5-star hotel experience in any way and should not be advertised as such. **Avoid this place if you expect even the most basic level of service.**

Used as a place to crash and shower during a long layover

Front desk staff very unhelpful and unfriendly. Hotel is located in noisy part of airport. Not recommended for stays longer than 3 hours. Not value for the money one pays. They just take US Dollars. So be careful. Everything in this airport is priced inbUS Dollars. If you must travel through this airport. Make sure your layover is short.

This Skylark property is inside the airport terminal (you don't need to leave the airport) not to be confused with the other skylark property which is a 5 min walk outside. Very convenient when you have a long layover. Clean, comfortable bed with a good shower.

Always relaxing and convenient

Amazingly convenient. Stayed the night on a layover and didn’t have to clear immigration at all, walked out to the gate 20 metres from my room in the morning. Modern and clean rooms with a pretty good breakfast included

Apart from the convenience of its location this hotel is dreadful. Given the ongoing renovations in the airport terminal it is a nightmare to get to. The majority of rooms have no window at all, which makes them very claustrophobic, and they smell bad. The breakfast buffet was very sad and the staff are surly and unhelpful.

One of the amazing restaurants I have had tried in my airport life being in different airport I find this restaurant full of nice food ( salad fish , meat , sauces , fruits ) I really enjoy and I do recommend to try it , its vey cheap comparing to many other restaurants inside and outside the airport / Amazing team helping and smiling / special thanks to my friend Yibeltal🙏
