607 Bay Inn Downtown Beaufort

They have a large private parking lot immediately behind the hotel. We arrived at about 7 PM and dropped off our luggage the night manager, Guy, was very helpful. We then went to the Breakwater restaurant, which is a one minute walk away from the hotel. Both the service and the food was excellent. We had coffee on the upper balcony in the morning, and the view towards the bridge was spectacular. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Our only minor distraction was a fairly stiff mattress.

Recently we had to be in Beaufort, SC for a bit of business and decided to add an extra day. Having stayed there once previously, we remembered how enamored we were with the quaint downtown and decided to look for accommodations there. Through our research, we finally settled on 607 Bay Inn and I'm glad we did. We were graciously welcomed upon arrival and given a lay of the land which included two communal kitchens, the veranda and balcony, and our room. Our room was situated on the second floor at the back of the house. Each room has its own private bath. We also received vouchers to be used for breakfast at our choice of a couple of different eateries downtown. 607 Bay is easily within walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the waterfront. The inn has delightful waterfront views itself. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony as well as our evening nightcap. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized I had an appreciation for architecture, especially that of the previous century or two. This inn has that charm in spades. Though the essentials are updated as you can see from the pictures, the old wooden floors have a creak to them and the doors to the front of the house have notes on how to open them with ease. It's a charm that, to me, is priceless. Everything at the inn was well appointed. We had zero issues during our stay. If we're ever back in the area, staying here again would be an easy yes for us. I would recommend it for you as well.

We had such a wonderful 3-night stay at 607 Bay Inn! Our room (#1) was right across from the downstairs kitchen, which made it easy to grab tea or coffee whenever we wanted. There were packets of oatmeal, breakfast bars and snacks available on the kitchen counter as well as breakfast sandwiches and popsicles in the freezer. We had coffee and oatmeal every morning and on our last day, we decided to walk to the coffee shop just to use our vouchers for breakfast, otherwise we really didn't need them. Afternoons were perfect for sitting on the upstairs balcony overlooking the bay, drink in hand, before strolling to dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, parking out back was very convenient, and the host was friendly and helpful. We’ve stayed in other places around Beaufort, but this will definitely be our go-to spot from now on!

Great room and hotel location

Loved the location, views from the porch and so quiet!!! We were welcomed and shown around the property which was nice. Received texts giving us all info we needed which was so helpful. Would definitely stay here again!!

The Inn is in a great location, right across the waterway and across the street from the downtown area. The owners/innkeepers were very accommodating. The area was very well kept and the breakfast was nice addition.

We were welcomed and place was very clean. Area around was clean and well maintained. The area was very safe and quiet. We had a great stay well worth the money. Must visit the island, fish amp and the state park and beach. Well worth the ride to the park. River front park was outstanding. The area around the property was clean and felt very safe throughout the downtown area. Blacksone cafe is a must to visit for breakfast before 8 am

Location is everything and this hotel has it. Smack within walking distance of all of Bay Street restaurants, bars and shops. Ample and easy parking, which is a a godsend for being downtown. Lovely communication and check in is a breeze. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic house and gorgeous.
