MainStay Suites Florence - Darlington

This “hotel” was absolutely disgraceful. It shouldn’t even be open for business. Expedia should not even list this as a property. Check in was at 3pm didn’t get in till 630pm. Get to hotel ceiling tile is falling out of the entrance. Looks abandoned. Gets into room absolutely foul flour is sticky nothing is clean shower is covered in dirt and backing up dirty water. Cigarette burns all over the place. Furniture looks like it was picked up on the side of the road. We had to go buy our own bleach and wipes to clean the place to be able to shower. Walked around in shoes the whole stay. Lock to door was broken off. I have so many pictures of this awful motel hotel.

There were cockroaches in the room and they wouldnt let me switch rooms when i asked. Waited at the desk for 15 minutes and no one showed up for me to check out so i called them and then told me to leave the keys in the room so i left the room keys in the room and now they wont return my deposit because i didnt check out properly despite following their instructions

Floor was dirty. Towels were stained Bed sheets were stained Bugs in refrigerator door seal Bugs in couch. Inside couch was nasty No place to hang clothes Local drug dealer tried to sell me drugs

They had none of the things that rhey advised and the air-conditioning only worked half the time.

Simple place to stay, I get they are under construction but there was no breakfast or pool or fitness room as advertised.

The bed was comfortable

Walking in no light switches. Had to find lamps to see. Was like a maze. 2 rooms turned into a suite. Great concept but not finished. Peeling paint on floor. Dirty footprints in the shower. Only 1 remote. TV wasn't set up. No breakfast as the lobby under construction. Was traveling through with a poor phone signal, had i been able to read the reviews I would not have booked it. The front desk clerk said he didn't know why they rented out so many rooms. But race at Darlington. Overall horrible hotel. I usually don't give reviews but I don't want someone to experience the same. Now have to wait for my 100 deposit they collected. They acted like they was just starting to remodel but evidently been going on awhile. Always read the reviews Took pictures but can't load.

There was good kitchen on a room ,stove and big fridge. Ac was also good . There was couple gas station markets and fast food restaurants almost next to hotel and across a street. Also WiFi was very fast and works well all time I was staying.

Room was little bit dusty and there was bread crumbs on a floor ,but still not too bad. Hotel was under renovation at the time so there was little bit messy everywhere ,but thats understandable.

Dead bugs in the floor, pool was stupid dirty with dark green water. No breakfast like it said online. The hotel overall was pathetic. The pictures make it look 1000x better than it actually is

Easy check in

Bullet hole in the tub. The shower head leaked and sprayed all over the floor. Safety chain broken on door. Room door didn't shut right. The bathroom door would stick shut. Pool was so green it should of been drained and cleaned. Free breakfast was Hostess cupcakes or twinkies and a Gatorade. For some reason the head board was wet when we arrived around 1130pm. Apparently people live there permanently cause grills were everywhere. Also steps were broken on the stairs to leave but the caution tape was removed and tossed on the ground.

I don’t like nothing I’m very disappointed
