"Fun trip, nice place but very put off by the salesmen and continued pitch."

8.0

Locale to all we were doing was great. Cool vibe and very clean.

The property was not the issue. The issue was the fact they began from check in pushing the time share idea. We arrived during a busy time, 5 hour drive-exhausted, and hurrying to get ready for a concert. Staff pushed us to a kiosk for “perks”. I should have read more but honestly we were ready to get to the room. Short story lost $60 deposit bc of a two hour tour we didn’t take to listen to a sales pitch. It was “sold” as a quick tour. Needless to say we canceled the tour, watched numerous couples drug around by salespeople throughout the day. It took away from the appeal of the place honestly. Overshadowing the amenities for a sals pitch.

"Timeshare flop"

2.0

Considering we were here for a “complimentary stay”, so would clips experience being timeshare “owner”, I feel we wasted money! Parking $58 a night with terrible service. Service in general was lacking across the property. Single room suite was average at best. If you considering being a time share wyndam owner, don’t! I’m glad we passed based off this 2 night stay…

Horrendous Sales People The innacuracies and abuse from some sales members at downtown Atlanta, Margaritaville location is off the charts. They sell you points. Even the lowest end units in reality can cost 500 percent more than the sales people say verbally. For example, I was verbally quoted 8,000 points, then 15,000, then 20,000, and then 25,000 points for a one bedroom one night. Come time to book the real cost is 50,000 points which is paying Ritz prices to be around some truly wretched and abusive sales people for a minum of three days at a time. Even at 50,000 points there were no one bedrooms available. 50,000 points for one night means you are paying twice as much as a discounted luxury hotel in Atlanta. It gets worse. One salesperson tried to recruit a guest to fight me because I dare say he was not correct about the point costs come booking time. Before that sales hung up on me saying their time is too valuable to talk to me. Sales constantly threatened to walk away when I said the real points when trying to book are twice or up to 5 times more than quoted verbally. Some sales become verbally abusive in the Atlanta location and tried to get guests or passerbys to fight package owners if they dare dispute what sales says. The moment you say the sales numbers don't match the actual booking points, some sales will jump back and yell in public: "He is harassing me! He is harassing me!" over and over until an ignorant passerby will step in and say he will beat up an owner or package owner questioning sales with facts. Yes, it's that bad. Sales will brag that corporate will do nothing because they are in sales. Also, if you are White some of the sales staff, especially the males, might be particularly abusive. They say if you pay on credit card charge will stay in pending for 7 days which is a lie. They will charge as fast as possible. I don't believe 90 percent of what sales says now. I cancelled my contract within 7 days and by law I am owed a refund. I doubt they will issue one so the next step will be a lawsuit. The sales staff lost a customer for life. I hope this review helps potential victims.

I loved how warm the pool was! As someone with a low tolerance to cold it really made swimming easy for me! Also, the fun atmosphere and vibes in the evening.

"Thrown - Out"

4.0

The hotel is clean and new and well located to many of Atlanta's key businesses. First off, you need to know that it's a "Vacation Club" which means that as soon as you check in you will be escorted to some couches in the lobby and given a pitch for visiting one of their properties on a "free trip" for going on the time-share/vacation club tour - there's no avoiding this pitch. As a working hotel it's fine except you don't have "services" per see like Room Service but it's attached to the Margaretville Restaurant - which they have no relation to - and the level of service over there is another review in itself. Just know that at 5:00 there was one bartender and one waitress working the entire room. Everything was fine on this trip until the second night when I got sick - a fever with a sore throat. My wife asked the front desk for an extended stay meaning noon - check out time is 10:00, something which I had never seen before. Anyway, I was in bed and I was called at 10:30 by the front desk and I was given 15 minutes to pack up and get out of the room. And that's what I did. And that was my last memory of this place. Needless to say, we won't be returning and we visit Atlanta at least twice a year on business.
