Galaxy Boutique Hotel

Outstanding hospitality and cleanliness. I gave a 4 on facilities only because the wear and tear of so many guests has damaged some walls....just need some paint touch ups. Otherwise I highly recommend.

The Galaxy Boutique Hotel at Lake Tekapo is a gem! The views of the lake are stunning, and the skylight above the bed is a fantastic feature for enjoying the stars at night. The luxurious bathroom, complete with a deep bath and premium fixtures, adds to the overall experience. The breakfast, which is not buffet-style, is a negative detail in an otherwise perfect stay. The waiter, who also manages the front desk, takes your order with a smile. The portions are a little on the small size (i.e., I got one rasher of bacon, small serve of scramble eggs, and a small sausage). The breakfast service just didn't match the boutique feel of the accommodation. The hotel's commitment to service is evident, and the included parking and fast Wi-Fi are convenient perks. The location is ideal for exploring the Alpine region, making the Galaxy Boutique Hotel a wonderful choice for a memorable getaway.

Rooms with beautiful views of the lake. Skylight to see the stars. Breakfast delivered to the room. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable.

Wish we could have stayed another night here! I loved our brief stay. Upon check in, the gentleman at reception was kind and helpful and gave us some helpful tips about restaurants and closing times. The room was amazing! We ended up with a two room suite with a sitting room, kitchenette and dining area, and a large bathroom. The luxury bathroom amenities were so nice, I asked where I could purchase them! The fixtures and finishes throughout the room were all very luxe and beautiful. It truly felt like a boutique hotel. The hotel has you reserve a time for breakfast because they cook their hot items to order. The offerings were limited but delicious and sufficient to fuel us for a day of hiking. The hotel is walkable to the lake and to the town center and has gorgeous views of the night sky! It was pricey (~$300) but 1) we discovered that we had booked on a regional holiday and 2) It's a hotel in a highly visited remote area, and I think it was absolutely worth it.

Room was unique and lovely! The skylight provided a view of the stars. Breakfast was custom made and delicious! Hosts were very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Excellent service from start to finish. Loved the skylight and the room was new, spacious and quiet, with lovely views. Staff were sensational. The vibe is boutique and a few streets back from the busy main highway made for a very comfortable stay while we were in the room. As applied to the more pricy Peppers right on the highway! Bathroom was so well appointed with an amazing shower and comfy bath with mountain window views.

Staff were great and made our stay very memorable, thanks so much. The hotel was lovely but a bit tired around the edges.
