Nice rooms, nice staff, adequate parking. The rooms are nice although for anyone infirm the lack of a lift could be problematic. The location is good, the breakfast was good but for some reason lukewarm rather than hot which was odd. I liked the skylight in the roof as well

We had a great experience here - the room was spacious and well equipped with incredible views of Lake Tekapo. The skylight provided a really unique and cool view of the stars at night. The hotel is in a hill above Tekapo but is an easy walk or drive into the main town. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice! Would recommend and stay here again.

Staff were very accomodating and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Galaxy Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice when staying in Lake Tekapo. The only thing that beats the views, is friendly, and helpful staff. Don’t make the same mistake we did and book multiple nights if you can!

What a joke. $600 per night for a very average experience. The room may be ok but the staff are very inexperienced. The reception / breakfast area has a smell which turns your stomach as soon as you set foot in there. No way I would have breakfast in that place. Breakfast is delivered to your room - when they remember! A boring place in a boring town. We couldn’t wait to leave.

Where should I start with - worst checkin experience, lies from front staff or rude behaviour from front staff lady while checking out Let’s start with check-in experience, out checin was delayed and we had to wait and the explanation was we requested king bed. It’s like we’re the only one who requested king bed in the history of this hotel. There was not even a single apology from the front staff lady I raised this issue with my booking partner Expedia to share the experience I had it with this worst customer experience Next day, while checking out front lady came to me and said you raised a complaint with Expedia regarding you check in experience and wanted to have a chat with the angry tone. In this whole conversation she never said please. This morning she changed her explanation of the late checkin, it was due to she was serving the other customers. Let me correct her we were there by 2:41 and rather then us getting checked in she was trying to serve other customers who came after us. Anyway, I tried to explain her my disappointment with the check-in experience but she was least interested to listen. After that, she throw the key on her desk in angry way and said all the best in the angry tone. My recommendation to her manager and hotel authority is to send her for some behaviour courses so she should know how to deal with the customer respectfully. I can also recommend some behavioural online courses to her if required Won’t recommend based on my experience
