Galaxy Boutique Hotel

This place was amazing! We came here for our honeymoon and the staff really made us feel special. The view from the room was incredible and the skylight was a fun addition.

Nice new hotel with really good breakfast. The only negative was that we were on the ground floor so people are walking past us all the time. Couldn’t have the window open due to this. If you stay I would recommend an upstairs room instead.

Great stay, would highly recommend. Very modern and clean. Breakfast was included which you could enjoy in the main space or in your room enjoying the great views. Tip to ask for level 2 room as you wont have anyone walk past the front of your room and you also get a skylight above your bed to enjoy stargazing. 5 min walk into main street.

Check in was breezy, when I told the girl on reception I'd be leaving early morning and would miss breakfast she offered me a continental breakfast that I could keep in my room and eat when I wanted. She brought this up to my room an hour or so after check in. I loved the bathroom, it's beautiful and luxurious with thoughtful features. The hairdryer was excellent! Most of all I loved the views out to the lake and mountains, and the skylight for watching the stars. I walked into town (5mins) to grab some takeaway dinner and then just sat in the window watching the changing landscape until the sun set. The room was very quiet and warm and I had an amazing sleep, waking periodically and gazing at the stars. It was the most expensive stay of my trip but I think worth it for the views, location and comfort!

Very basic hotel. In Usa would be more of a Motel. It is walking distance to the little town. Online it seems like its way nicer than it is. Convenient and clean are the big draw

Property was in a good location. Property had good facilities and breakfast included is a bonus

Lovely property. Skylights great and gorgeous rooms and bathroom. Only issue we had was the lighting outside the hotel is very bright. Some of the brightest lights around which, when staying in a dark sky area specifically to see stars, were emitting a very frustrating amount of light pollution!

Great view of the Lake Tekapo. During the night, for star gazing and even the moon over the lake was just magical. The hotel is obviously run by a group Asian who are always nice and respectful. While I myself is Asian, I do believe that the sensitivity of service and the breakfadt should be up near international customer service level.

Set in the midst of a dark sky reserve.
