It was a very pleasant stay. The surroundings were calm and peaceful, with beautifully preserved nature and the soothing sound of birds all around. I felt completely safe and relaxed throughout my stay. The staff were excellent — truly one of the best parts of the experience — always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was also very nice. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in nature.

Beautiful location in Yala close to the National Park. We had the villa with a private pool and felt like we were the only ones there as it was nestled in a corner of the property surrounded by nature. The pool after a safari was perfect 👌 Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast in the treetop on our last morning was amazing. Very cute dogo as well!

I absolutely loved my stay at Yala Tribe. The place is magical — you’re surrounded by pure nature, yet everything is so thoughtfully designed and comfortable. The service was truly outstanding, with every detail taken care of. A special mention to Bandara, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. His care made the experience even more special. If you want to feel immersed in the jungle without giving up comfort and excellent service, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Staff and the manager are trying their very best

This hotel runs on modern slavery and it's operations is a complete sham. The staff and new managers are all very nice and try their absolute best, but the hotel, basic hygiene, misleading advertisements and pricing are all scams. Firstly they charge you LKR 45k to get you the same small, dirty and unsafe car that you can get for LKR 30k in the airport. Then you come in and the room is nothing like the photos, the rooms are smaller, furniture is old and really smelly! They blame the marketing department for using wrong photos! Then you face their safari where they first show you a different jeep, charge 70% more than professional safari companies only to take you on a very old ranger on the day, you end up being the only car in the whole park that's not driving a proper highlander! All the food is served with half usual portions and low quality ingredients! To top all of that the bathrooms are full of frogs and the rats come and steal the soap from inside the room! They tell you it's normal because it's a jungle, but it's not. I have staid in so many flaming locations inside natural parks, never seen something like this in my life! Finally, they reduce the salary of the employees if they get bad rating. So because the staff are so nice and helpful and trying their best no one gives them the right rating they deserve. As much as I don't want to trouble the staff the way that this hotel makes money is unethical and needs to be called out. So unless you like to be surprised by receiving a tuk tuk for price of a Mercedes and love rats in your room avoid!
