Tribe Yala - Luxury Camping

Alt! Maten var av høy kvalitet og presentert på en måte som gjorde måltidene til en opplevelse – både frokost og middag. Servicen var behagelig og påskrudd gjennom hele oppholdet. Fasilitetene og rommene var nydelige, rene og i vakker lodge-stil. Vi booket safari via overnattingsstedet, og det var en fantastisk opplevelse med dyktig guide og privat bord ved stranden til lunsj. God kommunikasjon med andre guider underveis gjorde at vi blant annet fikk se en leopard med bytte.

Close to the nature and having the whole family in one room. The service and accommodation were excellent. So beautiful place. Having dinner by the bonfire was amazing. The kids loved to look for frogs and gekkos in the evening even though we already have been on a full day safari. The room was clean, nice outdoor shower and staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Tucker room that gave us opportunity to walk to our own treetop giving us a beautiful view. Perfect for a morning or late cup of tea.

The bathtub needs to be repaired. Some tiles were broken.

Unique location with a fantastic view. There was a lot of privacy. Very friendly staff (in specific the manager) who organized everything like the safari and special requests.

Just a reminder when booking: the stay is in the jungle so wild animals can appear.

We loved how private and quiet the location was. It's very close to Yala national park and you can see animals around the property. We saw peacocks and lots of different birds flying around us. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff is very kind and attentive and helpful.

I was hoping for more to explore around the area such as walking trails or an open area where the kids can kick a ball around.

The staff were the best we had in Sri Lanka, always available, attentive and positive. We felt so relaxed and at peace for the duration of our stay. We stayed at the Eagle lodge, had our own private pool and outdoor showers. They had arranged a full day safari with a 10% discount and accompanied it with the most knowledgeable guide and safest and calmest driver. Dinners were excellent, especially the butter chicken and dessert with salted caramel. They can arrange transfer and transport upon request.

Staying in the wild comes with its own downfalls (such as little frogs in the inside shower). The lodge lacks proper ventilation, which means the air conditioning needs to run constantly. Unfortunately, the AC unit is positioned quite close to the bed, making it less than ideal for a restful and healthy sleep. Adding a ceiling or pedestal fan would be a welcome alternative and help improve overall comfort.

Stand out location and good quality tents. Bandara the F&B manager went above and beyond to make our stay and meals comfortable and tasty. Highly recommend the place

No evening congregation point, no interaction place or incentive to discuss the days safari with other guests makes it a bit impersonal

Very wild! But has all the comforts you need. The team at tribe were all super attentive and friendly. Happy to help and go beyond all expectations. Also, they found us 2 Leopards, a sloth bear & lots of elephants.

The tent was amazing and the private pool was so refreshing after our safari. Our safari organised by Tribe Yala was awesome it seemed like our ranger Dinesh was very knowledgeable and our driver Thusara was also very skillful. We managed to see the Big 3 which was more than we could ever hope for. The cocktails at tribe Yala were second to none and the food was really good too. Bandara’s hospitality was incredible and we can’t wait to visit Tribe Yala again one day.
