Renaissance New York Flushing Hotel at Tangram

good hotel if you stay in Queens area. you dont have to worry to find restaurants nearby, they have so many. the room a little bit small, but functional. it doesnt matter if it's just for sleeping. they have shared parking with other buildings (Mall or office), but you need to pay with reasonable rates.

Stayed here to be able to take in the U.S. Open tennis. Hotel is awesome. Staff was amazing and gave me great tips on how to get to the tennis by walking - an easy walk. Hotel gym is fantastic. Bed was super comfortable. Room is well appointed and with Starbucks coffee - a nice touch. Great shower. Just an absolute amazing experience and will definitely be back for the tennis next year - every hotel employee was super nice, friendly and polite. Rooms look like they have been totally refurbished. Absolutely loved it.

Stopped by the hotel to check out the rooftop views and maybe get a drink from the bar. The bar and hotel rooftop is on the 12th floor which was beautiful, you get to see the skyline and airplanes fly past you. I overheard an altercation that was happening and I think the hotel staff happened it beautifully. There was another guest I guess trying to check into the hotel at 11AM and the front desk said they don't have rooms available that early, which I think makes sense and I've been at Marriotts before where you can ask for it on the app, but it's definitely not guaranteed. Guess it's the guy's first time traveling to a nice hotel where they actually sold out over US Open and doesn't understand the concept. Anyways, this guy and his wife/partner starts cursing at the front desk and poor girl just had to listen to them. I was mad for the girl but the girl got some help from her coworkers to ask the man to leave and the situation died down. The guy had no manners and was so rude. I read the review below, it's probably that guy, sounds like a familiar situation. All the staff I encountered that day were super nice and even after the whole situation, I asked them for water and they still had a smile on them. Now, that's top-tier customer service.

It is at a marginal location in Queens. Not the worst but definitely not the best. However, it is close to LGA and the US Open stadiums. That is why I picked them. They were the most expensive option in the Marriott app I used to book the stay. I assumed the Marriott would not risk it brand reputation so bad, really didnt research much. I was wrong. It was not worth the price. The property is cramped (ok, it is NY …). Not particularly well maintained either, and the staff is not very helpful. This is not a terrible hotel, but if you expect anything remotely close to upscale this is not it.

I had a nice stay at the Renaissance while visiting to attend the US Open. The check in service was excellent and the ladies at the desk were so helpful with recommendations and explaining the amenities at the hotels. The rooms were modern and spotless. The restaurant/ bar staff were friendly. The hotel is right by LaGuardia so there is airplane noise but the property and staff are solid.

Super Service, especially from Rosemary at the Breakfast. What a great soul. Nice Hotel, good gym and pool. The rooftop is amazing, but the staff is very service-focused and super decent, especially Rosemary. This makes the hotel more personal and gives everything a very good atmosphere. Love it!
