"Not what we expected"

4.0

Firstly I cannot fault the helpfulness of the staff. Stayed here in May. Booked because it had a beach & beach club and we love being on the beach. It wasnt until we arrived that we were told that the beacj and beach club wouldnt be opening until June.We complained that there was no information on the hotel website regarding this. This was a massive issue for us because we dont like sitting around a pool. We booked a deluxe sea view room. Upon arrival we were given our room that overlooked a small marina and buildings not quite the sea view we were hoping for. Rooms are very small here at 20sqm you think thats going to be ok but they are really small. we were offered another room with a side view of the sea which we accepted but you couldnt walk around both sides of the bed. During the night I got up banged my head and knee on the post sticking out of the wall. We ended up having to pay another 3000 euros to get a room that would make our trip nice. This was allegedly a 4000 euro a night best suite in the hotel at 56sqm & something we have stayed in similar hotels for 800 euros a night. The manager did however agree a 500 euro a night surcharge for this room which we took. It felt like once you were here you paid over the top for everything. I bought a beer at the pool bar in what looked like a 500ml oval glass. half filled with beer half filled with froth. I questioned it and was told "thats how we pour them" after ten minutes I was given the bill for 15.5 euros for 250 ml of beer. Cocktails 30 euros. we never drank around the pool and to be honest not many did it was just a rip off really for people that had already spent a fair amount of money to go there. We played Padel Tennis twice & that was 80 euros per hour. First night in the Pizza restaurant where they serve the best pizzas in the world were on par with London Pizzas. again expensive and we were served a very small frozen Tiramisu at the end that lacked taste & for this calibre of place should have been freshly made. The breakfast was always cold on the heated top, bacon sausage etc was always cold. You can order a la carte but again small portions but much nicer. I think there must have been other complaints re the beach as by Friday the day before we were leaving they partially opened the beach with about 10 beds & we managed to get on there and it was the best day of the holiday. I reached out to Hyatt about what happened & our disappointment but despite promising to come back to us...they didn't & its been a few weeks now, so I felt I needed to write this review. My advice get a car and get out to enjoy the many restaurants and stunning views Sardinia has to offer. If you plan on staying around the hotel I think this place is incredibly expensive & you could probably go to hotels with bigger rooms, better facilities and reasonable prices to eat and drink there. Ive heard Sardinia is incredibly expensive well this hotel certainly was BUT the restaurants and places outside were much cheaper & thats a big negative for 7 pines. Not just going there but when you get there also its expensive. Once again the staff were lovely.

"Great place. I would go back in a heart beat!"

10.0

We were greeted with moscatto at arrival. Our bags were delivered to the room and we got a small tour of place place, which was very big. We got a room with sea view, but actually partial since there were trees in front of the window and a roof from the room in front of us. The place is immaculate clean, well kept. The bed was wonderful with very nice quality of sheets, pillows and such. Rooms nicely decorated and it seemed newly redone. It is a quiet place, private beach, close to other hidden coves. We enjoyed very much.

"Nice Resort"

8.0

The 7 Pines is a beautiful property with very well kept grounds and facilities. The rooms are very small and we were unlucky to be on the bottom floor and upstairs had kids which sounded like elephants. (Definitely request upstairs). The food at the restaurants was nice but very expensive. Breakfast was outstanding with a good spread of hot and cold foods. Views from the restaurant were pretty special as well

"All about the appearance, lacking substance"

6.0

Our experience was “OK”… the grounds are absolutely beautiful and everything about this hotel is very much “for show” without much real substance. Room looked great, but the phone didn’t work, the key for the room didn’t work, the app didn’t work… Breakfast was tasty but like eating in a museum/library, dead silent. The main Spazio restaurant was very expensive and a limited menu, Capogiro was a tasting menu so also very limited and expensive. On the whole, beautiful looking hotel desperate to appear glamorous, but needs to work on the details. We hired a car and went to local restaurants which saved us for a few days.

"Beyond amazing!"

10.0

7 Pines Sardinia was an incredible hotel from start to finish. I stayed there with my boyfriend for 2 nights 17-19 May and everything was beyond amazing. The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere throughout was so welcoming and the location beautiful. The Molten Brown products in the bathroom were wonderful and the room felt very luxurious but it was a super laid back Italian kind of luxury. The flip flops and beach bag were such a lovely extra touch. I have not even begun to talk about the food from the incredible breakfasts overlooking the sea with the best coffee, to the exquisite tasting menu we enjoyed on our first night. From the carpaccio to the sea urchin to the ricotta map of Sardinia!!! I really hope we return as we had two quite literally magical days.

"Could have had 5 star review with a few adjustments"

8.0

Stunning scenery and excellent staff and service. With everything this hotel has at its fingertips a few adjustments could really elevate the stay here. We stayed in May and the champagne bar and cone club don’t open till June. A shuttle service to the village a few miles away would really open up options for guests, especially those on a budget. At least provide seating, preferably shaded, to allow guests to wait in comfort for taxis. The pool music is intrusive and too loud. Everyone has the own phones and access to their music of choice with headphones. The peaceful sounds of flowing water and birdsong are drowned out by a monotonous base for 12 hours a day. Please switch off one of the speakers and allow for a quiet zone by one of the pools. Guests were covering the rock speakers with towels to try and muffle the sound as when staff turned them down upon request, managers would turn them back up! The attentive, caring nature of those that work there really shone through however. We were addressed by name and not room numbers, Hamza at the pool ensure we had towels, water and sunscreen, the ladies at the bar made my Margaritas exactly how I liked them and Johann listened carefully to the above suggestions. We look forward to returning in the future.

"Fabulous suite overlooking the beach"

8.0

Lovely hotel in fabulous grounds. The staff were amazing especially the Concierge staff and Luna in particular. Our suite was really lovely and had everything. The pool area is really lovely and we ate in Spazio several times which was excellent. Two criticisms, firstly the food and the drinks are really expensive. We ate in Capo giro the first night but it was a tasting menu of about 12 courses. This is not our thing and I do think your main restaurant should offer a better choice than this. Secondly there is no lounge or bar area where you can sit in the evening and have a drink. You are missing a trick here, not everyone wants to sit in their room at night.
