Eastwind Hotel Lake Placid

My husband and I availed of the breakfast basket which we enjoyed so much. Would avail it again when we come back. I also appreciated the staff so much. They were so friendly to talk to and were so accommodating.

Very cozy, warm room. Loved the soaking tub!

The parking on busy weekends is not good! There really isn't anywhere to park if you get there past 8pm. Also would be nice to have a boot mat/rubber mat for boots in the winter.

We loved the concept of the property but the bathrooms were not clean and need of renovation. No place for snowy shoes because there was no paths shoveled. The bed was lumpy.

Location — just far enough away from town for it to be quiet, with walking distance to two excellent restaurants, but a very short drive (about 1.5 miles) to the hopping part of town. . Also loved how the rooms were laid out and decorated. And loved the sauna.

Could hear the rumblings of conversation and an occasional bark of a dog from the people staying on on the same floor, same building. (There were two customers on the same floor.). Not a big deal. I would also prefer coffee that was easier to prepare than what was provided in the rooms. My husband spilled coffee grounds out of torn sacks every morning. The sacks are too delicate.( The coffee was tasty. )
