Kona Kai Resort and Gallery

Had a great stay at Kona Kai and will definitely be back. This was our second visit and everyone from the housekeeping staff to the office staff were great.

Comfortable and peaceful- with great sunset views. Personal tour of the facilities by the host. We enjoyed the kayaks on site to explore for the water plus enjoying setting on the dock to enjoy the clear sky with lots of stars.

Quietness and views of the sunsets. Room was very comfy. We will be back. We also went on a short kayaking trip using the free kayaks.

No on site restaurant. The hotel provided a great list of local recommendations. Very helpful.

My husband and I decided to drive to Key West to celebrate our anniversary. Kona Kai was our first stop. It’s a quaint and quiet getaway. Our room was clean and fairly large some of them have kitchens. Grills picnic tables, hammocks, kayaks and paddle boards are available for use. We felt like it was our private oasis. We laid out in the lounge chairs on the dock and enjoyed star gazing at the night sky. If you are looking to have a peaceful retreat this is it. No restaurants and no bars are on property but several are close by.

Kona Kai is really great getaway spot. Quiet. Great amenities. Good price. Room was nice island vibe and large. Highly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful resort! The staff was amazing and very helpful. The room and kitchen had everything we needed plus a wonderful view of the water. We had a very enjoyable relaxing vacation there. Can’t wait to go back.

We had an amazing time staying in the Breadfruit suite at Kona Kai. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The resort is clean with many amenities to enjoy and beautiful view.

We were thrilled to discover this hidden gem—it was exactly the escape we needed. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Our suite was spotless, beautifully maintained, and smelled fresh and inviting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. The views were absolutely breathtaking and added to the overall experience. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling refreshed and recharged. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Kona Kai Resort was a wonderful place to celebrate our honeymoon. The natural beauty of the resort and the gorgeous views of the ocean made it feel incredibly peaceful, romantic, and special. We loved the calm, intimate atmosphere and how easy it was to relax and simply enjoy being together surrounded by such beautiful scenery. It was the perfect setting for a honeymoon, and we would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a romantic escape with stunning ocean views.
