Broughwood Cottage Snowshill, Cotswold Stone Cottage

Decoration, every detail, wonderful chimney, kitchen, details from landlord…, all perfect to enjoy at home.

Automatic heating could have been higher in bedrooms. Shower is nice but slightly difficult to control temperature.

We had a really excellent stay at this charming and well-appointed little cottage close by lovely church. Every comfort had been thought of and our hosts were helpful and responsive. It’s conveniently located for walks, good pubs, and even a spa or two, so we were out and about a lot - but we all agree that our only regret was not spending more time in the cottage!

Everything! This place is perfect:)

The cottage is located in a charming village and is an absolute gem. It was a really special place to spend Christmas. Everything is done to a high standard, tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The AGA range was surprisingly easy to use (good instructions on hand). David was an excellent host. In addition to a nice welcome gift, he had a real Christmas tree set up and even dropped off extra firewood so we would have enough over the holidays. We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years and this cottage has been one of our favourites. We can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommend!

Log burner was very nice.

Double bed small and uncomfortable for me. Dust down side of bed on skirting board. No spare toilet rolls.

Lovely cottage fantastic views of the countryside

Appreciate the age of the property but really need to sort out water pressure in the house there was 5 of us girls but couldn’t shower in hot water if it was more than one of us showering at a time so a little annoying!!…bottom step of staircase needs defining as we all missed it at some point and could be dangerous,…needs TLC regarding rugs in the property and the leather sofas uncomfortable as slid off properly needing a throw or two!….we also didn’t like the fact that the neighbours had to walk past the lounge doors of the cottage to get in and out of there house to a sheared parking space not ideal.

Water wasn't hot,

A great location in the heart of the village, right next door to the pub. The cottage has been designed in a modern “traditional country house” style, and therefore is both stylish and comfortable. The cottage garden is absolutely beautiful too! You can walk to the local National Trust property (Snowshill House), and many other activities are easily reachable by car. A great base for walkers too, and you can start straight from the door! The owner was very responsive, with some helpful suggestions of what to do and where to eat.

The cottage is exceptionally fitted out with everything you would need for an amazing comfortable stay. The decor and style and history are excellent too. Lovely linen and comfortable beds. The pub food next store is lovely and reasonably priced especially the pie which was amazing. The village is where they filmed the Bridget Jones diary scene at xmas and her parents house and drive. We also visited Snowshill manor which was a great day out about 10 mins walk away. The welcome gift was very welcome too with picture mug of the cottage to take home.

We liked everything and can’t wait to visit again.
