"Would not return"

1.0

The location of the property was okay, but overall, I’m glad I only had one night booked. The stay didn’t meet my expectations, and there were several issues that made it less enjoyable than I had hoped. Wouldn’t return.

I recently stayed at ENTIRE cottages, and unfortunately, the property did not meet my expectations. The description online was misleading, and the property itself is in need of significant upgrades. The television did not work and the stairs leading down to the bathroom are very dangerous—I actually fell while trying to navigate them. Additionally, the shower was a major issue, fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold, making it almost impossible to use. Given these problems, I would not return to this property and cannot recommend it.

"clean and comfortable accommodation, would stay again due to location and comfort"

7.0

good facilities and very relaxing. we were visiting family so location for us was perfect. free wifi and tv facilities for entertainment were appreciated. We would certainly stay here again as we have many family to visit in Selkirk. Perfect property to take our small dog with the small garden. On street parking difficult as it is opposite a primary school however delighted to discover on of the playgrounds is open to the public for parking and a 2 minute walk to property

the description of this being a Scottish cottage for strangers to Selkirk would be extremely misleading. This is a ground floor 1 bedroom flat in a block of 4 with small front garden. Booking.com description and what is included needs updated. We stayed 5 nights which i did feel was a bit expensive at £767 for self catering

My wife struggled with the bathroom because she is disabled .the kitchen taps could have been a better size.

It was clean.

No toiletries or toilet roll. No wine or chocolates. These items were in the facilities list. After a full day of travelling, we then had to look for a shop.

"This place is awful. Sorry I didn’t get pics of how shabby it is - I complained to the number on the key code message -"

1.0

Nice town

Both bedside lamps in bedroom not working (one can’t even plug in as no power point) I’ve left washing up liquid as there was none on property - I bought it. House freezing - had to use fan heaters to try and get warm. Big storage and small storage heaters not working This list is not exhaustive as the whole place is a real disappointment - certainly not worth the amount we paid for two nights . Mis-sold , bathroom is a death trap due to those steps down The property is described as a modern cottage - I live in a cottage and this is not a cottage. The bathroom with strange frosted glass which obviously is a window to another house basement was extremely odd and Freaky to be honest . The steps down into the bathroom are dangerous - nowhere in your advert for the ‘cottage’ does it mention these. My mother has mobility problems and usually uses a wheelchair - this was impossible because of the narrow steps. Which I had to help her negotiate safely - not an easy challenge as there is so little room. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher as advertised - there are chipped plates and only two knives, not great when the ‘cottage ‘ can sleep 4 . The laminate flooring is not finished off to the skirting board. There was a dirty glove left on the floor to welcome us in. The only wall mounted heating that worked was under the window beside the table. We had to use the portable fan heater to try and keep the place warm but did not want a fan going all night. The whole place was just shabby. And smelled of smoke - indeed, we had to put the fruit bowl and cork placemats into the kitchen cupboard as they stank of cannabis. Please reply by text tomorrow as I am just home and now heading to bed - Fiona Cruickshanks
