The rooms were dark (there's a large window which let's in a lot of light, but for privacy the shades needed to be drawn at all times, and the lighting in the room was pretty dim. Our bathtub drained very very slowly, which wasn't a huge problem, but wasn't great.

Coffee was good. Pool was clean and nice. Rooms were perfectly comfortable. Fire pit was also great.

Snacks in the vending machine were stale.

The hotel seems to be ran down. Damp smelling room, ripped out fixtures in the bathroom,no room for towel or toiletries, not even one hook. Damaded table, stained bedding, microwave full of previous guests food. Molded tissues in the tissue box.Room itself contained two beds, table and tiny shelf between beds to fit two phones, opening in the wall had few hangers serving as a closet. Your luggage and belongings can only be stored on the floor. Door rattles in the frame when the wind blows. Worse of all it feels like staying under the jungle gym, every move guests above make wakes u or sounds like ceiling will collapse. Dated pool with missing tiles, rusted over furniture and fixtures. Pool cleaning I guess happens once in a while, debris is a constant. Dryout grass and look of abandonment. Parking not efficient so guests park anywhere and caused damage/dents to our car. Lobby hours laughable and management or care nonexistent. The only plus is that its pet friendly place so thats what kept us there. Not a place to stay beyond one night, no rest or relaxation by busy street location. Couple restaurants close by but nothing to come back to.Public beach -tiny.

I normally would never post a review positive or negative but I was so disappointed by this place that I feel I have to. I have stayed at many Lark hotels over the years. I have found them to be pretty reliable for being clean and in good locations. The room itself at Bluebird was clean. The bathroom shower grout was TERRIBLE. Mold and and missing grout in ours. The shower tub is slippery and there are no hooks to hang any towels or pj's as it has been said in other reviews. But what was most disappointing was having prepaid in full for my booking for a tiny discount ($60) and being charged AGAIN on arrival for the 'resort' fee ($60 - $20/night). It is VERY CLEAR when you book directly on line that the "resort fee is included in rate". I could not get anywhere in arguing this with the staff or with the GM Brian Dupree. This is a CRIME but what I actually feel is WORSE is that they call this place a resort. This is CLEARLY a renovated MOTEL. IT IS NOT A RESORT. It has 2 pools. That is it. No coffee in room. No cafe. No restaurant. No room service. No spa. No fitness center. No business center. No in room safe. No ability to get additional towels at the pool. NOTHING. Buyer beware. The Pelham house is a REAL resort ON the beach and looks a lot nicer.

Good location and comfortable bed

This is the third time I’ve stayed here and I keep coming back because I love the area and I love the staff. It’s a cute little hotel as the years have gone on. You can definitely tell that the buildings are being well left.

The property has a cool mid century vibe! Also the staff was helpful and kind. Overall a great experience!
