Budget friendly hotel

Looked new on the outside, close to the train station Gubeng

Very small rooms, like you could barely pass between the bed and the wall, almost impossible to depack the luggage. NO ventilation in the bathroom, had a smell of mold when entering for the first time. Mold in the shower area. Seemed no air conditioning working in the lobby . Very poor breakfast, no eggs, just fried rice, some cooked chicken and some papaya, we couldn’t find anything proper to eat for breakfast. Bad coffee.

The room is nice. Great location close to the train station Surabaya Gubeng.

The bathroom was really horrible and smelled

The bed was extremely comfortable and clean compared to other hotels in the vicinity. You also have a smart tv with Netflix. Would stay here again in the future.

Unfortunately, we stayed in three different rooms as we had three separate bookings, and in all three, the shower had problems. It's either the drain being clogged, the valve mechanism broken leaving you with alternating bouts of extremely hot and cold water, or the mould building up in the corners - cleaners should take note of this beforehand.

In the room we found a lot of black hairs and grape seeds on the floor. Don't know how they 'clean' a room. We were on the 3rd floor where the corridor had a penetrating odor. Room itself smelled like air freshener. Very noisy and no sound insulation in this 'new' hotel: At 3AM we were woken up by piano music coming from the room next to us. I went to reception and informed them. Somebody came to our room and said he would fix the problem but nothing happened. While waiting for this problem to be solved, they put the television extremely loud in the other neighbouring room. I went to this room and asked to turn the television down, which they did. Then I went to the 'piano room' but no one answered. Called the room with the room to room phone and the music was shut down. By that time it was 4AM and the Muezzin started singing from the mosque....
