Rio Motel and Suites Wildwood Beach & Boardwalk

Well, I can tell u the owner of this hotel owns the RUS MAR & AT LEAST 12-16 prob more hotels in Wildwood, NJ! MUST be nice to NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY TAXES ON YOUR BUSINESS! THESE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE, WILL COME & START POUNDING ON YOUR DOOR LIKE THE POLICE ( AS HARD AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE, POSSIBLY & PROBABLY W/ SOMETHING OTHER THAN A HAND OR FIST, on a Sunday morning, AT 10 AM, NON STOP, IN A HARRASSING MANOR! FOR 2HRS, until they upset my dog.I had to get up and tell them that I'm not due to check out until Monday.And you know what she goes and looks at the schedule and realizes I'm correct and doesn't even say sorry.Not one time not 1 sorry.I don't even get a sorry after they ruined my whole effing morning! This was at Rio, a few ( like 3 hotels over)EVEN THOUGH YOU AREN'T DUE TO CHECK OUT UNTIL THE NEXT DARN DAY & WE'RE EXAUSTED D/T THE 1ST NIGHT YOU TRIED TO CHECK IN AFTER SITTING ON THE PLATFORM FOR 2 HOURS. GUARANTEEING THAT, LIKE IT SAYS ON THE PLATFORM THAT SOMEONE was in the office for twenty four hours a day, WHICH IS A BOLD face lie ! They lied out their teeth to me saying THAT SOME 1 WILL BE THERE AND LET ME IN MY ROOM, AFTER I AM AT HOME AWAITING 2 HRS TO HEAR FROM PRICELINE, WHO CALLED " THEIR PARTNER" WHO IS BOOKING, AND THEY ACT LIKE IT'S A BIG FAT SECRET. WELL, I'M REALLY SICK OF IT. BEFORE I LEFT MY HOUSE 2 HOURS. IT TAKES ME 3 AND A 1/2 HOURS. AT LEAST TO GET THERE. THAT'S NOT INCLUDING ONE-STOP AND THERE'S ALWAYS A STOP OR 2. I'M AN EMPTY NESTER WIDOW. MY U S ARMY VETERAN HUSBAND DIED SERVING THIS COUNTRY WHERE I M TREATED LIKE A SECOND CLASS CITIZEN!! I WAS PROMISED THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT RIGHT NOW. I WAS PROMISED THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE IN THE OFFICE WHEN I GOT THERE. NO ONE WAS IN THE OFFICE. I'M PACKING IN THE OFFICE COUNTING ON THE DOOR AS HARD AS I CAN COUNTING ON THE WINDOWS AS HARD AS I CAN.

I DIDN'T LIKE ANYTHING! I HAVENT RECIEVED A PENNY BACK FROM A HOTEL THEY REFUSED TO ALLOW ME TO STAY IN, 4 NO OTHER REASON THEN THEY ARE RACIST!!! ALL MY FOOD ,& I DO MEAN ALL ALL ALL MY FOOD SPOILED FROM THEM TELLING ME TO COME DOWN, & THEN. YET NO 1 WAS THERE & NO 1 WAS IN THE OFFICE LIKE I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE, THE VERY VERY VERY 1ST NIGHT OF MY 1ST & ONLY SUMMER BEACH VACATION, MY ONLY VACATION, PERIOD! MY DOG & I AWAITED ALL SUMMER TO GO HERE TO THE BEACH & I SUFFER FROM PTSD, AND DADDY ALONG WITH A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER ISSUES AND THEY TRIGGERED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE TO THE MAX!!! THEY REALLY DID!!!

Room wasn't ready& staff had trouble getting me the key. Parking was extremely tight for $20 for 2 nights.

Think rooms could use a little more cleaning,air conditioner very dusty,doors,walls,baseboards could use a good dusting.

when I got into the room, it was easily 85 degrees in there and the floors look like they werent swept in weeks. There was stains on the sheets and a pillow case. I had an issue with a broken door knob, I told the front desk and they said they would notify maintenance, well, that never happened. Id never stay there again.

Close to the beach, parking, friendly staff.

Wish it had a pool

The room was not cleaned properly, the toilet seat was dirty from the previous guest. The floor was very dirty and the bed linen was not done properly. Upon entry to the room I was greeted with a strong BLEACH scent which was very unpleasant. I've stayed in a few hotel rooms and this is my worst experience.

The location was perfect for walking to everything. They fixed the problem quickly of giving us the wrong room.

I had to fix the door knob when we checked in. No extra roll of TP and You get pretty mad when you run out at 4am. We called for toilet paper and extra towels and we had to walk the block to get them. Check out is at 11 and someone came to our door at 9:45 am wanting to know when we were leaving.

The rudeness of staff when trying to overcharge for pet fee. The cleanliness and fire hazards in the room were unacceptable

This place was a bad experience from the start. Their check in office is across the street and down the block. The parking is horrible. The room are musty! House keeping doesn’t come at all. The microwave was broken! Going up the stairs at night time there was homeless people sleep underneath.

What we didn't like is having to check in at another motel a block down. Then having to pay for parking. We only were allowed 1 spot which wasn't a problem but it was in back of motel and a very tight driveway to drive down along a fence line. Room was clean and comfortable and close to beach.
