Soraniwa Terrace Kyoto

Hotel location is fantastic. Excellent service and condition of the room. Love the private onsen in the room. Staffs are very friendly. However, breakfast taste still have room to improve.

Comfortable stay with an impressive terrace on roof top where you can chill out with the view of Kyoto while soaking your feet, so comfy! Bar time in the evening at the terrace. Small hot bath area yet peaceful ambience. Small room but well equipped. They suggest to store the luggage under the bed but personally found that it isn't practical for big luggage. Otherwise the mattress is comfortable and the provided amenities are all fine for the stay. Good location even department stores, shops, restaurants, public transportation, attractions, Gion and etc are in walking distance but still silent enough and I had a good stay here. Also taxi stop is just right in front of the hotel entrance. Luggage can be store after check out but please check with the time for picking up with the staff.

I would definitely stay here again. Sorry it was only for one day. Staff was very friendly. Arrived early before checkin and they accept my bags so we can go sightseeing. Hotel and room very clean and safe. Very good location close to train station, great shopping area and close attractions. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect. Especially if you want to stay in Kyoto and not travel too far for a room with private onsen. Will definitely return.

This place was amazing! Super clean and nice. The terrace was an amazing place to wind down after being out all day and had an included drink for each night you’re there. Will absolutely stay here again if we come back to Kyoto!

2度目の宿泊でした。ホスピタリティが高く、プロポーズで利用しましたが、お花の用意や部屋のデコレーションなども提案いただきとても満足のいくものになりました。彼女さんも喜んでくれて京都で1番好きなホテルがさらに最高なものになりました！ また宿泊します。

Foot spa at the roof top and happy hour (4-6:30pm) is a perfect way to wrap up your day after a long day of walking and before you head out for dinner. There are two open-air spa areas, which get swapped for female and male daily. I was surprised their coffee machine has so many drink options and random fact- carbonated water out of the machine was surprisingly really good and refreshing! They also provide free popsicles.

My absolute favorite hotel during our 14 day/5 hotel Japan trip. The location is perfect, very close to the train station and hidden charming bars and restaurants of Kyoto. Easy walk to Higashiyama Ward and Kiyomizu-Dera Temple (both so lovely and breathtaking!). The rooftop is the real magic here, watch a sunrise or sunset and you won’t believe your eyes as the colors change. Complimentary drink service every night was a great way to kick off our evenings. Costa provided for cold weather. Drink a hot coffee on the rooftop while soaking your feet in the foot bath and plan out your daily adventure. Bed was the comfiest we had in Japan. Shower and bathroom was perfection. Provided face cleaners and oils were top notch. There is a daily bath fee at the hotel you will need to pay when checking in so keep that in mind. Will always stay here when in Kyoto!
