We had #2 and the "sofa bed" was a very hard vinyl couch not conducive to sleeping on. This should be replaced..

"No-Frills but Sufficient"

6.0

The Reception Desk is only open from 10am-4pm, and thus, because of our itinerary, we did not see 1 staff person during our 2-night stay. We communicated entirely through WhatsApp which was odd but sufficient. This is a no-frills hotel. For example: the bed has a sheet but no blanket or comforter; the bathroom has soap but no shampoo or conditioner; the kitchen has a coffee maker and filters but no coffee; the mini-fridge is empty (no ice tray and no complimentary bottles of water). We were glad the parking lot had a gate (for our rental car). And it’s decent accommodation, overall. Simply, it gets the job done if you just want a place to sleep, bathe, and go about your vacation in La Fortuna.

"Great place to stay and it was very economical."

8.0

It’s a great location, where you can walk to just about everything. Plenty of restaurants/bars in the area. We opted for a room with just a small refrigerator, but they do have larger rooms . For us it was all we needed, and the bed was comfortable. Antonio was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. He gave us some very good information. The parking is inside a gated area where you can get in and out whenever you want. We would definitely stay here again.

"Perfect location and friendly staff"

Loved the location and the man on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with all you need, a great place to stay, Gracais

The only tiny complaint was that the air conditioning unit was quite noisy

"Clean and tidy"

8.0

Handy location, not in centre of town but easy walking distance. Good AC. Clean and tidy. Great soda around the corner.

Bed had only sheets, no blanket in case it got colder. Would have liked a blanket available in the room.

"Very Uncomfortable and lacks basic supplies !!"

3.0

The main criteria for my stay was to be near the La Fortuna center with restaurants at walking distance (since we didn't had a rental car) and also for tour companies to pick up/drop off for day excursions. To that extent this facility met our needs (barely). This location is at the far and other end of the La Fortuna than the main area. You have to walk 10 min to the main area from here.

The stay became uncomfortable for many silly reasons. Every day we ran out of simple things like toilet paper, soap. The lodge provided 1 small soap for the whole family to cover bath and hand wash. The rooms are very congested and you cannot sit in the room. In 1 room the dining table mentioned is really an outside table. The power outlets are not easily accessible and extension cords should have been provided. The coffee machine came without coffee bags, cream or sugar. We had to shop to make it livable. Luckily there was one nearby. We had to move the coffee machine to bathroom to access power. There was no closet. There was a hanging rod but it was blocked by cabinet. We had to hang our clothes to door knobs and electrical fixtures. If you have the max capacity (4) in these rooms, there is no way you can stay comfortably. We were 5 people split in 2 rooms and still uncomfortable. My response to property owner's response - Asking toilet paper and soap - If you consider this as part of "constant" requests, then this could have been easily avoided. You provided a 1 small soap for 3 of us to cover wash basin and shower. How do you even consider this as adequate ? I have been a regular traveler and spend around 12-15 weeks in hotels. Almost every place, I see extra toilet paper rolls in bathrooms. These are silly things that can be easily taken care of. Coffee bags, cream or sugar are not considered as "food". You really need to change your definition of food. You provided coffee maker that was sitting on top of refrigerator. That coffee maker wire could not reach the electrical outlet. You had to take one of my bedside table to accommodate this. I had to keep my cell phone and watch on the floor for charging. The electrical outlet was towards the center of the headboard of my bed which was hard to reach. A simple extension cord would have sufficed.
