Coati Arenal Lodge

The rooms were clean, the sheets and towels were soft, the bed was comfortable. I liked that my car was safe at night. We were within walking distance to the center of town, shops, and restaurants.

The second room was way in the back and felt unsafe.

Very clean new property

Great location just a few blocks away from La Fortuna Park. Clean space, perfect setup if you need to cook your own meals. Would recommend asking how the hot water works. Mine don’t work but I figured it out after tuning the valves under the sink.

Location was perfect. Value outstanding.

There were a few tiny ants

We liked the location, just far enough from the main area to be quiet at night but also close enough to easily walk to the restaurants /tour meeting points etc in around ten minutes. Bed were comfy, room not too hot to need aircon . Hot shower. Friendly staff.

Due to humidity nothing dries. Not the fault of the lodge. We didn’t want our room cleaning daily as it’s normally not necessary but I’d recommend getting towels changed daily to keep the room fresh as there’s no airflow and they smell musty. Advice we ignored but are passing on. Sitting outdoors not great on ground floor, it feels a bit in the way.

Good location, short walk into the main center. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kitchen was useful for snacks etc. Staff spoke english and that was helpful.

Everything was good except kettle was not working properly.
