Absolutely charming

Location and facilities were all fantastic...very tight car access, but thats Valparaiso.

Anne was a spectacular host. Her hospitality and small touches to the hotel are appreciated. She served us the yummiest little breakfast every morning - with home made baking, and home made jams of fruit that grows in the hotel garden. Her staff are very attentive and willing to help make you comfortable whenever they can. The only note I will make is that it is located at the bottom of a dead end road; so if your vehicle is large etc, or you don’t feel comfortable driving or backing up on tight roads, it might not be the best option. That being said, they do have protected parking on site! Thanks Anne and team for a lovely stay.

First time to Valparaiso - we couldn’t have asked for a better location! The hotel is very quaint, beautiful touches in the rooms and common area, excellent breakfast, gorgeous grounds with lush plants and fruit trees and a rooftop plaza with a view of the harbor. The staff were extremely accommodating, helpful with tips and ideas for things to do and just so pleasant to talk to. It’s more of a B&B vibe than hotel. The neighboring area is full of cafes and restaurants, and a really great location overall. We loved our stay!

Wonderfully renovated home. Fantastic and helpful staff. Beautiful setting for the breakfast overlooking the harbor. Given the landscape of Valparaiso it's rare to have an unobstructed view but the breakfast area and patio areas provided a lovely ambiance with gorgeous flowers.

We were traveling during a period of intense and unusual summer heat wave, our room was often a bit warm earlier on in the evening as you don't normally need A/C in this region. Nothing that could be controlled and the room would be comfortable and cool off as the sunset and by the time we would sleep.

The welcome drink. The wine was bad, pisko sour also not good. Nothing would be better, but soda or water would be fine.

what a cute little boutique hotel. for the price and location, it was outstanding. we especially enjoyed the welcome pisco and the breakfast.

it was quirky and fun. liked it. the parking situation is a little precarious, but that's not the hotel's fault!

What a beautiful oasis!! We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is gorgeous. Ann and Alex have created a very special hideaway in the middle of Valparaiso- every room has its own personality and you could spend hours looking at all the personal touches that each room has. The gardens are beautiful - it was peaceful to sit in the sun, enjoy a wine and the great view. Breakfast was fantastic - and we appreciated all the extra help we received washing the dirt from months of motorbike travel from our clothes. Above all though - the hospitality, friendliness and warmth from the wonderful owners and the the 2 Catalinas was exceptional!
