Kestrel Hotel

Let me start by saying, the property owners were very quick to respond to my questions. The property was very clean, essentials provided in the Kitchenette, bed was comfortable, towels were provided. PARKING SUCKS! I booked back in October and no where on the site did it explain you have to book onsite parking in advance and there are only 4 spots available. When I arrived I called the phone number and they explained the parking spots were all booked so I’d have to park at a lot just up the block. If I would’ve known that I would’ve reserved on October when I booked the room. PRICING FOR WHAT YOU GET IS TOO PRICEY. While this was a nice room, there was an extended stay place across the street that was significantly less money for just as great a room and they had an abundance of parking. I noticed after looking online in the area there were more budget friendly options and more convenient. OVERALL PLEASANT STAY

Parking on site. The building and apartment was secure and clean. The tea provided was a nice touch and needed. I loved the whole concept of how they designed the building and apartment. The coffee shop down the street was excellent as well.

This was the perfect stay, will definitely remember this place for future visits.

Right around the corner from Underground Arts which is why we came! Super easy to get a train from the airport to the hotel. Got off at Jefferson Station and it put us right by Reading Terminal Market. They have loads of dining and shopping there and is about a 10 min walk to the hotel. The room is nice, quiet, and clean. Highly recommend for a short visit.

The room was spacious, clean with all the necessary items for a comfortable stay. No hassle check in and check out. Truly enjoyed my short stay and hope to be back sometime soon!

This was a true oasis for my daughter and myself. Moving her into an apartment from out of town and none of her stuff had arrived, we found comfort and a good night’s sleep for a very reasonable price . Thank you!

I liked the easy check in and the luggage storage after check-out if you are staying in the city the rest of the day. Well kept facilities and a great breakfast restaurant a short distance away. We will definitively stay here again later this fall.

property fine but stated that would send access information 48 hours before arrival. Actual time was about 5 hours before arrival, leading to some concern that it would not be sent at all. A few yeas ago had arranged a rental in another city in an apartment but could not even find the property and had to make other arrangements at the last minute, which was awkward.

We booked 3 studios and the suite at the Kestrel for my youngest daughter's wedding weekend. First of all, Everything Worked ! The garage doors, the elevator, the great A/C, the hot shower, the kitchen appliances, all the electronics, etc. The very well located building is very well maintained and the owners/managers are very responsive and obviosly take pride in their facility. If we come to Philadelphia again, we will surely stay at the Kestrel.

Upon first use, our toilet clogged and overflowed. I called to ask what we can do, and they said that no one was available to help, but they could provide an alternative room. The alternative room provided was not acceptable as my partner is in a wheelchair and there was a flight of stairs to get to the bed. (We had initially specifically selected a wheel chair accessible room.) In the process of letting me view the alternative room, access to our initial room was revoked for several hours. Once we were able to get back to our first room, our best option was to sleep in a room that smelled, without a functioning toilet, and temporarily without a fully functioning lock. We requested a refund but so far have been denied anything.
