Shore House at The Del, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Great resort with lots of amenities. Jason, our valet, retrieved our truck for us today. He was prompt and courteous. Check in/out was smooth.

Amazing place to stay!! Highly recommended. Perfect location, perfect accommodations and everyone was so nice and helpful.

Wow, we can’t say enough about our stat at the Shore House. The entire property was amazing, but the Shore House felt exceptionally accommodating towards families. Sam & Jason with the Valet team made our arrival and departure super smooth. We will be back!

My newly wed wife and I went to The Del for our honeymoon after finding out that Airbnb was not up to par. We showed up on a whim just before droves of people were about to check in behind us. The lady who helped us was named Diana and she performed nothing less than a small miracle. She found us a room for 3 nights, which was a stretch on our budget, but she was proactive and asked if we were seniors or had any other discounts, which we did. She was able to reduce our room cost by 15% and get us a room with a great view! After being there for the first two nights I decided that we should go to the expense of one more night (4 nights in total) to fulfill our original trip dates. Initially when I called down to the front desk the person said we would have to move rooms, and that the rate would be much higher. I asked for Diana but she wasn’t there at the time. I ended up seeing Diana at the front desk the next morning and told her about our situation of having to move rooms and the higher rate. Diana immediately jumped on the computer and fixed everything! She said we could stay in our same room at the same rate moments later and even sent us flowers 🌹 to celebrate our honeymoon! Diana is an asset to this company and should be promoted immediately! High quality accommodations in a great setting.

Our entire experience at the shore house was flawless! But I want to highlight the pool staff and specifically the bar staff. My nephew was stung by a stingray in the ocean right outside of the pool area. He was in a sheer panic, but one of your bartenders, Kyle, made sure that he felt calm and comfortable during his injury. Kyle voluntarily approached my nephew multiple times to check on him exchange baseball facts to distract him from his pain, and share his own experiences about being stung. Kyle 100% helped to calm and settle my nephew after his scary experience. He was kind and patient and I just couldn’t be more thankful! To top it off everyone at the bar was so nice and friendly and it just made our near perfect day even more perfect!

The rooms were beautiful, the view was spectacular (I managed to get one of the beach view rooms), the whole property is clean & new, the staff are attentive. The breakfast buffet has a great location (middle of hotel next to pool, half outdoors), is tasty, and is efficient- no waiting for waitstaff, you just seat yourself and start eating. There are many restaurant choices in the area for dinner. No question that I'd want to stay here if visiting San Diego again.
