Sun Valley Inn

The rooms have been recently renovated and nicely so but the furniture is dated but completely serviceable. The area is very nice and clean, Pleasant Hill is pleasant. There are stores, restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Just finished a blistering hike of Mt. Diablo and this motel had everything I wanted in an expensive motel - hot shower, large bed, Law & Order on tv, and cheap food within walking distance.

This property provided the bare minimum, the room itself didn’t provide any closet space, the bathroom had filthy towels, a bar of soap and toilet paper, no cable or even basic channels on the tv, and the worse of it all was the bed, super stiff and the pillows had no support. I would never stay at this motel again even for its cheap price.

It was pretty bare bones. Furniture and towels were old. Bathroom was redone and newer. Had noisy trucks leave at 4 and 5 am each morning. Except for that pretty quiet. Didn't connect to the wifi.

Check in was easy fast and friendly, the staff including cleaning staff was nice and accommodating. The room was basic but super clean including a good size refrigerator and great value for the price. I was worried about it been clean fresh and modernized since it was so cheap but it was perfect and a great value. Cleaner then many I’ve stayed at that were significantly more expense great experience!

Prose.... The room was very spacious and had a microwave and refrigerator which was very convenient. Nice TV with cable channels. The room looked like it had just been remodelled and updated, it was very nice....the staff was soo nice too! 10 stars!!! Cons......the beds are sooo old but not bad. When pulling back the blanket I see 2 thick black hairs, so i move the pillow and see crumbs and more hair under it. I did see this on another review so i came with my own pillow and blankets. The room only had a shower, no tub. It had hair in it and I had to rinse it out before I used it. With new really nice rooms they should clean it a little bit better and this would have been an all proes review. Someone else hair is one of the nastiest things to come across in the bed, floor and shower you are to use!!

The overall was pretty good for the price we had payed, the only thing we need to report are the towels in the bathroom were really bad not look clean at all, thanks god I brought my own but the rest was pretty well clean really big room with fridge and microwave, quite and really pleasant costumer service, we will be back

nicer help would go a long way, no amenities, no bedside lamps, overhead only lighting makes it hard to watch tv or read.should have a coffee maker at least.

Staff was very rude and noisy. I left my new 1400 dollar phone in the room and came back an hour after checking out and tracking it back to the room on my find my phone app and they lied about it. I had to make a police report. Thieves, very rude and rooms are very dirty with a lot of sketchy people in and out at all hours

Beds were comfortable enough for a few days (a bit soft for us but truly quite comfortable). Pillows are a bit flat - we brought our own and my parents asked for more. The in room refrigerator and microwave makes a lot possible for cutting costs when it comes to eating out. No coffee maker, but with Safeway and Starbucks across the street - and budget friendly Minutemart next door - that's an easy fix. Rooms were super clean, bathrooms were friendly to my dad who uses a shower chair and cane to get around. We appreciated the minimalist hangers & rack for our event clothing. There is a beautiful park just 2/3 of a mile from the location that we frequented. My parents stayed in 1 room and my partner and I in a separate room. Walls are a bit thin so for us light sleepers it was important we used a white noise making app overnight - and we were not bothered at all by passing traffic (and, the father you are from the road, the less that's an issue).
