Very very noisy. Could hear everything from the street. The windows don't properly close. The toilet didn't flush well and there was only one toilet paper. For a 5 stars in booking it doesn't make sense to book this place if not only for the location.

Amazing location in the heart of Playa del Carmen. 10 minutes walking distance to the city centre

We liked the location, how close it was to restaurants and bars! Staff were really nice and the place was really clean. Rooftop with a pool was a bonus! Keypad for entry was nice and felt very secure.

There was a bit of noise at night that kept us up but it was mainly from other people staying there over Christmas.

1. Way Too Many Rules Before you even arrive, they send you this ridiculously long list of rules. It’s so over-the-top that it stressed us out before we even got there. They even demand a copy of your ID beforehand, which felt invasive and unnecessary. 2. You’ll Be Nickel-and-Dimed for Everything Be prepared to pay extra for anything you can think of. Towels? Extra fee. Room cleaning? Extra fee. Even toilet paper isn’t included—I’m not kidding. It was absurd. 3. False Promises About a Crib One of the reasons we booked this place was because they said they had a crib for our baby. When we arrived, they gave us a single bed instead, which was useless. Our baby could’ve fallen onto the hard ceramic floor—it felt so unsafe. 4. Parking Is a Total Nightmare They advertise parking, but there are only five spots for the whole building. Unless you’re one of the lucky few, you’re stuck with street parking, which isn’t free. Not exactly convenient when you have a car full of luggage and kids. 5. Not Baby-Friendly at All This place is downright dangerous for babies. The floors are super slippery, even in the bedrooms, and the furniture has sharp edges everywhere. Our baby fell multiple times and scratched his back and head. It was heartbreaking and so stressful. 6. Broken Balcony Doors The balcony doors in our unit were broken, and we couldn’t close them for the entire 10 days we were there. Despite repeatedly complaining, no one ever came to fix them. We didn’t feel safe the entire time. 7. So Noisy It’s Impossible to Sleep The building is right on a busy street, and the noise is constant. You can hear everything—traffic, neighbors, street noise—day and night. Forget about getting a good night's sleep here. 8. Gross Hygiene Issues When we arrived, there was a huge pile of hair on the balcony. It was so disgusting. Yes, they cleaned it after we complained, but why was it even there in the first place? 9. Terrible Kitchen Setup The kitchen is a joke.

The apartment had all I need, kitchen, fridge, balcony, swimming pool and a small gym....location is great just 5 min from Calle 38 and supermarket

No hairdryer

The pool and not to far from main town. The local girl looking after the apartment was responsive to safety concerns, but no real solution was found during the stay.

The sliding door to the apartment didn’t lock on the balcony. They gave me a block of wood to secure the door at night. Toilet seat kept coming off. Then tried to charge me $45 for a towel that had a shampoo stain on it. Which then required me to take it to get it washed at a laundromat and it wasted time I could have spent enjoying my holiday. The couch was filthy. I would not sit on it without putting a towel down first. Seems like the owners are out to screw over tourist for every $ they can. Yet can not provide basic safety and security of the apartment.
