"Nice hotel, let down by poor breakfast service"

7.0

The room was lovely and we received a very warm welcome on arrival. It was almost 10pm but the restaurant was still able to serve us a late dinner. The hotel is very clean and nicely designed. Lovely pool though we didn’t have time to use it.

After very good first impressions, it all went wrong in the morning. First of all we were woken up at 8.00am by a cleaner in the next room - the sound insulation is poor and she was very, very noisy! We were really tired as just arrived in Turkey and wanted to sleep until 9am. At breakfast, we opted to sit outside but the staff seemed to forget us - we kept having to go inside and ask (for milk, water, teaspoons, etc). When the cooked breakfast finally came it was cold. When we asked if it could recooked or heated they said it would be 5 minutes. In fact, it took nearly half an hour. Our complaints in both cases were met with excuses not apologies - the cleaner thought we were out; the cook is busy etc. After waiting ages to check out (nobody on reception) they took 100 TL off our bill (about £2 - less than half the cost of the glass of wine I had with dinner which incidentally was the smallest glass of wine I’ve ever seen!). Shame, because poor service spoiled our experience of an otherwise nice hotel.

"Dangerous , badly run and on a building site"

2.0

Aug 2024 Traveled with Jet2 for a relaxing break for our wedding anniversary, what a disaster. They are supposedly 5star and part of jets2's Lux collection. the place is badly run in disrepair with dangerously blocked fire escape. our room literally vibrated every time the restaurant air con was used, which was every time they where open as did the whole floor, rooms 111-113. Breakfast is appalling, every day the same salad and dips and bread. if you want orange juice there is an extra charge. you do get to choose how your egg is cooked, which is pretty much all the choice you get. as a coeliac as asked if they had alternative bread and was simply told No. got my own bread, from the local supermarket, and took it to breakfast the next day and asked if it could be toasted, told no "we don't have a toaster, 5 star service at its best. at Jet2s suggestion we moved hotel after 3 days. But had to pay for the privilege as the owner refused a refund.

"Tasteful designed hotel, but..."

8.0

The hotel has a relaxed vibe due to its small size; the beautifully designed rooms with high ceilings, warm colours and wooden details; and the calm and green garden/pool area. The employees are very friendly, the beds are comfortable. The location at the outskirts of Sarigerme village, away from the very touristic restaurants and souvenir shops, is good, although a construction site just other side of the road reduces the "remote" picture.

We got the feeling that there is lack of management; although the big picture is good, attention to detail is missing (and the obviously all rather new staff, though willing to help, needs guidance). Examples: One of the 2 rooms we had booked had not been cleaned; means also toilet paper etc had not been refilled. The breakfast can be taken only from 8:30 onwards, which can be late if you have booked a boat tour in nearby Göcek, or you need to go to the airport. Our kind requests to get the breakfast at least 10 min earlier were denied with the comment that it is not possible, and really not even one minute before the official starting time anything was served. We wanted to reserve a table for 4 in the restaurant for dinner and were told that it is not needed as there is large space; when we arrived later that evening, from the 5 tables (all enough only for 2 people) 4 were already occupied; first the restaurant head tried to seat us at a table at the side of the building (which was used in the daytime as a smoking corner for the employees); on our comment that we do not like to sit in that dark corner, a table was carried out from inside, chairs were collected, until we could sit down. Why not take a reservation then and have a table for 4 ready? The food we ordered was of mixed quality; the ravioli with walnuts - actually it was only one big, interestingly rolled raviolo - was very tasty; also the spaghetti bolognese were good. The bruger was average, and the ceasars salad was so much drwond in sauce, that all crispyness was gone. The base to create a great stay in the hotel is laid; but if the execution of service does not match with the design and style, it does not meet the expectations, which is a pity.

"A Lovely Stay"

10.0

The Remote Hotel is a lovely small boutique hotel. All the staff are really charming and very helpful. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the hamam (Turkish bath) was great. We didn't use the sauna but others were using it. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds super comfy. Breakfast was delicious (Turkish style). Drinks were reasonable. The hotel was full but never felt busy, always sun loungers available and fresh towels. There's some unfinished construction nearby which is a bit untidy but that is not the fault of the hotel. The pool may be tricky for non swimmers or of limited mobility as there is only a ladder step and no shallow end. Sarigerme 'town' is limited - mostly tack and fast food - a few gift shops were nice but mostly fake goods. The 2 beaches are great and very reasonable. Local taxis good. We recommend hiring a car and exploring, the scenery is lush and beautiful. Sarigerme is the best location to explore from, we particularly loved Kavucakcay, Gocek, Dalyan, The Blue Termed, Koyeciz and Gokbel. We definitely recommend The Remote Hotel if you enjoy peace.

Lovely hotel but as the name suggests it’s very remote. Great staff. Sam and Shems, Guzna I think and the lovely housemaid.

Could have a wider variety of food.

"A great little remote hotel & spa"

8.0

Let us start by saying we would 100% return to this hotel and had a fantastic 10 days. However there are definitely a few small areas to improve. The staff are amazing and in all honesty without them this might be a very different review. We both come from a hospitality & hotel background so possibly notice things others might not ? The hotel is indeed remote which needs to be embraced or it’s not for you. The views are mostly gorgeous except for some discarded minor building materials on one side. The restaurant menu is lovely but a little limited if there for more than a few days and the restaurant closes we think a little early. Food service is slow but there are plenty of alternatives a short taxi ride away costing approx 150/200 TL. Chef tends to concentrate on one meal at a time and can not seem to multi task and even shut the kitchen one day at 8-30 after 8 covers as he was on his own, but saying that the food he did produce was very good The rooms are perfect with lovely balcony’s and views and beautifully decorated with a calming feel. Highly recommend the Thai massage And all of the staff deserve a special mention. We genuinely look forward to returning.

"For anyone seeking a peaceful retreat"

10.0

This hotel was beyond my expectations! I had a tiny bit of concern because of a negative review, but after looking at the majority of the feedback and photos, I was confident it would be lovely—and I was right. The bad review- nothing to even dwell about. I booked through EasyJet, and everything was smooth . We had transport waiting outside the airport, but you need to make sure to walk a few steps until you spot staff in red uniforms who direct you. When we were leaving, we were given a time slot for our pick-up by EasyJet (text message), and they even called our hotel to let us the driver was stuck in traffic. Firstly, the staff at this hotel are incredibly respectful, kind, and hardworking. My mom and I felt genuinely welcomed and accommodated from our first day to the very last. We will miss them dearly. Lots of love from R104! The hotel is super clean and spacious. If you're looking for a quiet and tranquil place, this is it. It’s really quiet and peaceful. There’s also a hammam and sauna area available to use free of charge. You can book a massage a day in advance with an expert masseuse—we booked two in a row because she was that amazing. Like it’s a proper Thai massage. The breakfast was delightful. There was a selection of both sweet and savoury options. One of the dishes had a different filling each day, which kept things interesting. Tbh I could never get bored of having fresh food and lemonade . We also dined at the Bliss restaurant and were impressed by the delicious Turkish menu and homemade pasta. The chef was accommodating and even added extra cucumbers and chili when requested. While you can get food from nearby markets, it’s more convenient to dine at the hotel restaurant to be on the safe side. The markets and the beach are about a 4-minute drive away, costing around 150-200 TL. You can also book a day trip in the market - I recommend walking to the top and book with Panda tourism and travel. ( I did the Göcek island trip and got to swim in the most scenic areas and delicious fresh food was part of the price). Also there’s the cutest hotel cat on site named, Cotten. I fell in love with her - she the only cat that hangs around. Pet her If you see around and give her cat treats xxx

"Short break. Lovely surprise"

10.0

If you are looking for a get away from it all break/holiday this hotel is perfect. Slightly out the way from the town but set in a lovely quiet location. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful with lovely relaxing areas. The pool is lovely and the staff are so polite. Helpful and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully designed and cleaned everyday. A walk to the beach is about 1.5 miles. However a courtesy collection on the afternoon is very welcome. In all loved the place.
