Ecohabs Tequendama Parque Tayrona

La vista es definivamente lo mejor. El Tayrona es un paraiso.

Se nos hizo un cobro incorrecto del IVA. Cuando pedimos reembolso, o alguna respuesta para aclarar la situación, no hubo respuesta. Hasta seguimos esperando. Como estamos en la selva, no hay agua potable. El hotel no brinda agua, ni siquiera la minima necesaria, pero el huesped debe pagarla, a un precio muy alto. Es necesaria, por el calor y la caminata, no hay otros lugares para comprar, pero aún así el hotel no la da, ni siquiera cuando se hace el check-in, de bienvenida. Entendemos que el hotel estaba pronto a cerrar, por la temporada. Pero solo había una opción vegetariana. Tuvimos que preguntar, y el personal no estaba seguro de si tenían. Para nosotros no fue grave, pero para personas veganas o con otras dietas no había nada. Previo al viaje, revisamos el menu enlinea y los precios se nos hicieron razonables. Cuando llegamos se nos cobro mucho más, y nos dijeron que habían cambiado los precios del menu, pero no lo habían actualizado en linea. Hasta el día de estos comentarios, no se ha actualizado el menu en linea.

La alimentación del restaurante no tenía tantas opciones para quienes no comemos carne, lácteos, gluten y azúcar

We stayed at the Cabanas near Arrecifes. Not the ones near Canaveral. These ones are about an hour into the hike from Canaveral. It was nice to be able to finish our day of hiking and swimming inside Tayrona park, and not have to leave. The Cabanas are a nice option for this. Certainly more expensive than a tent or hammock, but large enough to fit four or five people comfortably. Its especially nice to have your own toilet which is a luxury for the park. These cabanas are a much more economical option than other Echo Cabins in the Park near Canaveral. You cannot swim at Playa Arrecifes which is the closest beach, but you can swim at Playa Arenilla which is just a 5 minute walk down the beach from Arrecifes. We personally liked Play Arenilla the best of all the swimmable beaches (yes, even better than Cabo San Juan). The electricity worked for us over night, but I have heard that is not always the case. The food at the restaurant was pricey, but good. Breakfast was excellent.

The Ecohabs were beautiful...once we got there! We didn't see any signage when we got off the van so we headed down the trail based on Google maps only to find out several miles later we were headed toward the camping area. After we arrived at the right place, the ecohabs offer a gorgeous 360 view of the park. Sleeping area/room was on top level with 360 views and comfy bed. You have to go outside and down stairs to access bathroom/shower. Hammock and nice sitting area here as well. Restaurant offered good coffee and nice meals. People with mobility problems should be aware there are a LOT of steps. Also nice to be directly in park to access trails early in morning before first shuttlebus arrives.
